OK. Pretty much agree with his views, especially on re-entry tournaments. I personally do not take extra entries and play all my tournaments as freeze outs. I can't see how the operator has significant extra costs for running a re-entry event. No extra tables, dealers or staff.

Imagine as a player having to take on, for the sake of argument, Phil Ivey, in a re-entry tournament, however many times he decides to re-enter. Nightmare.

Maybe it's an age thing but, I also remember playing in 2003. In an article from that year, recently updated in my blog, I recall playing a €1,000 event in Barcelona. The reg fee was €50 on top and for that we all got a three course meal, with wine, in the Casino restaurant. We also got a decent quality wrist watch each! And that was for everyone, not just final table players.
      Those were the days.

I remember seeing a bunch of tweets during the All in for One Drop event during this years WSOP about how much reg fees were being made, was something crazy for an event that was for charity, can't remember the exact figure off the top of my head something like 300k springs to mind.
