best hcp cardiff-15(LB)/aironi+ 17(pp)both 10/11
total pts unders 42.5(pp)/overs 41.5(sb)both 5/6
last time these two teams met it ended 37-26 to the blues, that was in oct in italy,in the match report,it was a fairly open, running game, played in on a good dry pitch.dont think tonights game will be as open tho.youngish looking blues team, due to injurys, the "babas international" and squad rotation.on the aironi side looks a little more experanced, tho the backs i'm not to sure about
i'm going for first try to be scored after 15.30@5/6 (bet365),aironi tend to depend their forwards alot on the away matches and at least in the pro 12 games have some sucsess, that with the youngest side for the blues, looks like we might have to wait for the first try to be scored
also going for the first scoreing play blues penalty @ 15/8,(betfred)dan parks hopefully look after that for me
also notice that in the highest scoreing half market, bet 365 are 11/10 first half, powers go 1/1 2nd half, with laddies going 20/1both halfs ending the sameMattie McGrath wanna-be

given that a yellow card to be shown is priced up 3/10 with powers,7/4 about one yellow card to shown @ 7/4 looks good valu(laddies)

thankfully got 3 wins from 3 bets last night, turning point in the game by far was aironis toomaga yellow card, the blues ended up running in 4 trys, after aironi failed to plug the holes.this is where imo,the in-game/ betting in running comes into play in a big way!Mattie McGrath wanna-be

total points over/under 41.5 pts (gen)
this is a derby match and i think could be close nuff given the teams,
stephen jones will play his 300th match for the club, and given that his kicking will more than likely play a big part in the outcome, could be worth a man of the match bet, couldnt find a price on line, but in the past have rang powers for one.
in the anytime tryscorer market, might be a little valu with the dragons aled brew, the winger is their top try scorer with 23 trys, and was overlooked by gatland for this weekend international, didnt go down well in the dragons camp and might be worth a small bet @7/2 with laddies.
think this will be a lowish score game as well with under 41.5 pts @5/6 (pp)
also think that no yellow card@ 7/4 with hills,is good valu, this will be a hard game i think, but not dirtyMattie McGrath wanna-be

looking at the teams in the connacht v ospreys game, reckon connacht have a great chance to win here @ 6/4.ospreys are missing most of their 1st choice team, connacth on the other hand are missing just 3 from last weeks line up,their strongest starting 15.with elwood out to put last weeks loss of toulouse to bed quickly.could be worth a few quid!Mattie McGrath wanna-be

2nd string out on the pitch for munster to-day,v edinburgh.the forecast down here is fine little windy but good for rugby, the bet that i like in the game is the time of the first try, line is set at 17.30 with 365 and powers@5/6,the unders here could be the way to go,with a all action game most likely, with a few mistakes thrown in!
start 20.30 thomond park,

just had a nibble at eoin omalley e/w(1/4 odss 4 places) for the heineken cup top try scorer @ 25/1 with powers.the leinster man has taken to fill b.o.d. boots in a big way.scoreing two trys already and another in the pro 12.o driscoll is set to miss 6 months with his injury, if o'malley keeps up this form, could well play the rest of leinsters heineken cup, could be some nice value in the 25/1 price!

leinster v blues
8.05, RDS. dublin
TG4/BBC WALES
with over 16,000 tickets sold, leinster will look to a bonus point here with so many of the blues team not playing tonight.no shortage of running backs, could be a high scoreing match, tho the forecast is for rain coming from the west later in the day, also notice S.O.B. is in at no.8 with jennings at no. 7.even so in the total trys market the over 3.5 trys @ 11/8 with vc is the play i'm going for.Mattie McGrath wanna-be

connacht v treviso
sports grounds galway
7.30
(not on tv)
forecast, rain,gusty winds
was waiting for the total points market for this but the line is drawn at just 30 and looks about right,...but treviso are a fast improveing team and tend to travel well,in their away games they scored 18 pts v blues,15 pts v glasgow, and a massive 23 pt v ulster when they beat them in ravenhill by 11 pts.given that the lowest away score this year was 15pts,and connacht are 1/2 favs to win(puke price imo)you would think that the overs could be the way to go.with the forecast so poor for tonight,it is a little gamble but in my view the expected poor conditions wont have a huge impact on the scoreing of these two teams,so given that i'm going for the overs 29.5 pts (laddies)@ 5/6Mattie McGrath wanna-be

Leinster -4 v Bath is free money.
Leinster form
W W W D W W W W W
Bath Form
L L W L L W W
Leinster beat Glasgow in the HC by 25 points, a team that has beaten Bath this season by 5 in the same competition.
The result against Montpellier (should've been a loss) was simply down to Montpellier turning in one of the finest defensive displays ever in the competition. Unfortunately for them, it turned out to leave them with a horrible hangover which left them vulnerable the following weekend when they lost narrowly to Bath.

just done a few small bets for the weekend
bath v leinster
had a good look at the markets for this one,as the lads on the bbv said the leinster -4 looks a banker with the form and hunger leinster have showed, but i dont think they will have it all their own way, bath will give this a real go from the start with plenty of tackles going in early.leinster may have to soak up the early plays that bath have to offer before stamping their own game on the match, with this in mind the highest scoring half,2nd half @ 5/6 laddies
scarlets v munster
on paper this looks too close to call, munster have beaten scarlets in all 12 game before this, that was then, this is now.scarlets are playing well and munster are a team in somewhat of a transition as well as injurys taken its toll.this i think will be a very physical game and the first scoring play a penalty, but thats odds on,no great value imo, with home advantage and with the ref not overly impressed by munsters game at the breakdown,i'll go for a scarlets penalty as the first scoring play @ 7/4 with bet fred
ulster v aironi
ulster will be eyeing this up as a bonus point win,and imo will get after that from the very start, with plenty of try scoring possibilities.in the anytime try scoring market, ferris @ 13/5(pp) could be value, but i'll go with trimble @ 10/11 (pp)Mattie McGrath wanna-be

I agree with this analysis, i do not believe that Leinster will have it their own way. This season its always taken Leinster til the 2nd half to up the pressure and the points. 5/6 for the 2nd half to be higher scoring is most definately the call for me.

i had a look at the brive v rugby club la vila odds in the challenge cup to-night,its a bit of the unknown here but put in a little research to keep the degen with-in happy.the hcp here is brive-47ish so we know what kind of game this will be.la vile have had just three games in this cup and have lost all,but did put 18 points on the board when they played brive at home just last week, scoring two tries along the way,and only lost by 29 points at the end.thats not bad when you see that sale beat them by 53 points a few weeks ago.brive for their part are not setting the top 14 on fire with three wins from 12 games, scoring a total of 207 points, but with 195 going the other way.on bet 365 la vila are getting a 48 point start and i think its worth a punt as brive will be looking towards the top 14.Mattie McGrath wanna-be

strong blues team for tonights game v edinburgh, the blues are top of pool 2 just three points over 2nd place edinburgh.the blues have shown they can travel in the heineken cup and win but will have to be at their very best to see this one out,but in my mind any ways they have the players in key aeras to take this, wouldnt put anyone off the 4/5 about the blues with laddies.the one im going for is the total points market with sky bet,the line is drawn at 42.5,think this will be a good game but not a classic running game so i'll go for the under 42.5 points @ 5/6 with skybet ..........blues team .....15. Glasgow to beat the 11 HC is my big chunk of the weekend.
Have chickened out of the Treble and have another bit on Treviso to beat the HC. If a backlash comes, so be it, but Treviso are a far more dogged side than Aironi, and shouldn't be as easy to break down and run tries past.
