I remember when I was 19 I went into a boyles all innocent, never having bet in a bookies before in my entire life
so I am looking at these races, all greyhound races. Bet on 2 and no joy, then I pick a beauty, can't remember the name but it was t_____ tim, remember the alliteration and the name tim. He's #2, lovely starting position and off he goes, flies out the track!! He is ahead, never looks like losing and romps home to victory
I go up to cash it in a few minutes later, & I swear on my life this happened. They wouldn't cash in my bet because I had the name and not the number. I had the name of the dog!!!!!
f***ing ba****ds - you'd think that would have stopped me - bet for the whole day and lost the roll. FML
