The first round of the PDC is the qualifying round, so similar to the BDO's qualifying round where only 3 from 16 players (19%) scored 87+
The first round of the PDC had 33 players (52%) scoring 87+
The first round proper of the BDO saw 13 players (40%) score 87.73+
The second (where seeds come in) round of the PDC saw 43 players (67%) score 87.73+
We're at the QF stage of the BDO, and Warren's 97.71 is still the leading match average, and it probably won't get much better than that.
Don't think the PDC need to watch their heels for the moment

Averaging 42 and 43
That's reasonably impressive through 11 legs, especially as she got no help from her opponent so it was pretty much all her own average.

Ashton has won 5 games today to get to the Last 16. Needs to get to the last two to guarantee a card. Some performance regardless.
Edit : And gone in Last 16. This and Ding's 147, I'm on a roll today.
Kayroo got to the last 16 as well, would love to see him walking on in barrister garb if he got a card.Last edited by ArmaniJeans; 19-01-19, 16:41.

A pretty unique 9-dart route from MVG. Like someone who's finished a computer game many times and is now reduced to trying to win it in a totally different way.Last edited by ArmaniJeans; 17-02-19, 01:52.

Wasn’t there a lot of rumors over the years that Barney was involved with a bloke. Or did I dream that

Some interesting picks by the BDO for their 8 spots in the Grand Slam.
Lisa Ashton and Mikuru Suziki the standouts.
Not sure they add anything to the competitiveness of an event which is often a bit below par anyway. Interesting to see how Suzuki gets on I suppose.
Scott Waites can feel hard done by having been runner-up at Lakeside.

Peter Wright may need to be taken on this evening tentatively.
But even better value is Gerwyn Price most 180's v MVG.
Should be odds on but i'm on at 11/8

Can switch the snooker final to the big TV now
Pretty excellent match between O'Sullivan & Trump with the new order winning out

Bit of a grudge match last night between Wright/Price, with no handshake at the end. Here's a kind of summary of events.
Price says he is going to smash Wright 6-0.
There's a bit of joking around backstage before the game.
Wright takes the first set and does this.
Price appears to call him a fucking maggot, and a prick as they walk off.
Price wins the second set and pretty much celebrtes in Wright's face.
Price somehow gets it to 3-3, but Wright runs out 6-3 winner. No handshake at the end.
In the post game IV, Wright says that they had a joke backstage, but Price wasn't having any of it onstage, so he just got on with it and beat him.
Price posts this on Instagram, and later deletes it.
Then posts this earlier today.
Gotta be able to take it, if you can dish it out amigo...

If that's all it takes to de-rail Price mentally then he's gonna be in a lot of bother when the other players see/read this
Thought he was made of much sterner stuff than that. A lot of the top darts players are weak mentally... thought Price was different.
Thought Wright kept himself conposed & focused throughout whereas in the past others (like Anderson) have let Price's over aggressiveness get into their heads and affect their game
Price was rubbish last night and to say its all down to Wright coming up to him after the first set..... load of bollocks

Can't complain too much with the Premier League line up imo
Mensur put in a decent shift last year, but i quite like the challenger idea over Mensur/Chizzy/Wade selection.
Not sold on Fallon getting challenger spot, but it has more global appeal than most of the challengers, so i'm fine with it. Should be a good season!
