William O'Connor loses 5-4 in a semi today but scrapes a card thanks to it on the Order of Merit. Spearing is the only other Irish name I recognise and he was well off the pace. Can do a year on the challenge tour and try again next year.
Robbie Green went out early but scraped a card on the OOM to join Norris and Wilson. Dekker and Walton miss out.

Not really looked at it myself and just have 1 bet on from having a scout around.
White to beat Lewis at 11/4
The Worlds game against Barney which Lewis lost (rather than Barney win it) will hopefully play on his mind if White gets an early start. Lewis is just back from Australia too so maybe jetlagged or something, or might not have got much practice in over the last few weeks.
White's also beaten Lewis in the last 3 meetings 6-5,6-1 and 6-0 (going back to Sept 2012) so 11/4 seems a little overpriced and worth a punt.
It is all fast, talented players playing over a short format. No cringe hammer swinging and finger sucking. No eye rolling and pure Scot anger at just hitting a ton. No hungover to bits beard being talked up as a top player when he misses bull for a 82 finish. We don't have to suffer through a player trying to throw darts from the right hand side of the stage whilst thinking he is the best but what I am most happy about is not seeing him with his face painted like he is in KISS.
Such a bad start to the PL betting wise. Not much went right at all so need to pick it up next week.
Going to keep a record this year of whether it's most profitbale to back the favourite, outsider or draw for every game and see if it shows up anything interesting. Virtual €20 per match.
I think the 5/1 we saw for Huybrechts v MVG will be the biggest price we see all year (maybe MVG v Wright will match it). The average draw price will also be a lot shorter than other years too and think that bet could have been a winner over the last few years.

Week 1
Favourites +€69.60
Outsiders -€100
Draw -€10
We should do a competition thing with virtual monies or real and see who is best...
Keep it friendly obv, anyone else who wants in could jump in too. Kev runs or takes parts in leagues on boards I think. Few others will jump in. I'd run it, you can escrow. Bitta craic added to the Thursday games? At worst just post up our predicted results and keep track but this is IPB, money needs to be involved.
Here' my proposal for the comp. If people are interested, i'll start a new thread. We could look at €25 a head, split 70/30 which seems reasonable. If players want to make match bets between themselves, then that's encouraged.
Dave Chisnall 5-7 Peter Wright
Raymond Van Barneveld 3-7 Adrian Lewis
Kim Huybrechts 3-7 Michael Van Gerwen
Gary Anderson 6-6 Phil Taylor
Stephen Bunting 7-4 James Wade
Just so that everyone doesn't play it safe and go for the bookies pick, the points for picking a correct score will be weighted as below:
You score 2 points if you pick the correct selection, but failed to pick the correct score.
In the above example, the scores would be
Dave Chisnall 5-7 Peter Wright (0)
Raymond Van Barneveld 3-7 Adrian Lewis (2)
Kim Huybrechts 3-7 Michael Van Gerwen (5)
Gary Anderson 7-5 Phil Taylor (4)
Stephen Bunting 7-4 James Wade (0)
Player A scores 11 from a max of 28 points available on the night.
You also get to pick 2 bonus selections for each night from the following categories: Highest Average, Lowest Average, Most 180s, Highest Checkout
e.g
Highest Checkout: Adrian Lewis
Most 180s: Chizzy
You will get 3 points for any correct selections from the bonus section.*
*If 2 or more players tie for the Averages (unlikely) or the high checkout, you will score 3 points each, but if 2 players tie for the 180s, then the points will be divided (2 players 1.5 points, 3 players 1 point etc)
There's 9 weeks of group games (1 gone obviously, so 8 left). Each player gets 3 Golden Darts to play on any of their selection over the next 8 weeks. If their Golden Dart prediction is correct, they will score double points e.g
Week 3: Lewis Most 180s (Golden Dart)
Week 5: Wade 6-6 Taylor (Golden Dart) etc
Only 1 Golden Dart can be used on a particular matchday.
Players can either post their selection on thread, or PM them and after the deadline they will all be posted on thread.
FD such a nerd for thinking all that up.
In obviously.
Maybe continue it through the second group phase with everyone getting another 2 or 3 Golden Snitches.
Slightly complicated in the second phase as some players play twice each night but easy enough to force people to say whether they mean RVB first game or second game.

Yeah looking for ideas for the second phase, and at what time to call the comp over. Will have a think later and see what options i can come up with the second phase and the SF/Final

Yeah we'll just carry on as normal for the 2nd group phase with each player getting 2 more golden darts.
That will be 16 matches in total.
The SF's (first to 8) and final (first to 10) predictions will work as follows. No Golden Darts for the shootout stages.
Not a big fan of betting on outright wins in these prem league matches each week when the draw is in play, but after getting a treble up last week I obviously can't quit when ahead. Tonight's treble: wade 11/10, MVG 10/11, Taylor 1/2. Think wade is bet of the night, chizzy has won his last 2 but was shocking in both especially first game against Wright who looked like a guy who hadn't thrown a dart since the previous Friday.
I have had a decent bet on MVG, Taylor, Lewis treble.
MVG v Anderson should be an absolute cracker but I really fancy MVG at 10/11 tonight.
I also like the look of MVG 7-5 tonight at a generous 9/1.
It will be close and could go all the way.
Yeah I like mvg tonight aswell I think he looks 100% at the minute and when he's like that he's nearly unbeatable, also he beat anderson well last weekend in Wigan.
