Christian Kist and Wesley harms are two that immediately jumped off the site both priced around 7/4 for their respective first round matches which was massive.
Especially Christian Kist he seems to only play certain events as he works full time but had a good run in the world masters this year. He beat dekker who threw a 96 average in the game which in the BDO is title winning form. In short im gonna have a nice bet on Kist @ 12's which even looks huge with his next match against de Voos.

Just seen that MArtin adams has been priced up at 2/5 against Tony Oshea's 2/1!!!!
2/1 about oshea has to be the bet of the year adams was gifted so many legs last night its crazy...while oshea looking a little out of sorts on his scoring finished very well at times.Last edited by Jaysoose; 11-01-12, 09:54.

I've O'Shea backed in my dodgy accum from earlier so hoping it's a good game and he gets through, but wouldn't be putting my mortgage on him for this game. Fingers crossed though

Comparing him to the 3/1 of S Waites who has to contend with Hankey/Winstanley & Kist in his half of the draw!!"the impossible is often untried"

He was never really under pressure last night and will be able to find his game against O'Shea imo.

i just dont see Oshea being as generous when it comes to the business end of the legs and he improved steadily throughout his game with montgomery so im gonna have a nice bet @ 2/1 oshea straight up.

fwiw the dutch kid is the danger to him imo.

The top half of the draw is definitely weaker. Adams is capable of better but he should get to the final without too much trouble. O'Shea will almost certainly buckle vs him.
When on form Waites is the best player in the tournament. No other BDO player can put in back to back 100+ averages like he did in the World Masters or even 97 and 99 like in the GSOD. If he gets by Hankey tonight (which I expect him to) he'll probably have Winstanley in the semi's but id fancy him to beat him as well.
To sum up, back Scott Waites @ 10/3.Originally posted by ArmaniJeansI like this heat - some proper music innit.
None of the 'black disabled lesbian warbling backwards' stuff that the other players inflicted on me.

He has to get by Hankey, who can be a class act on his day, then a very tricky semi most likely against Winstanly/Kist! Then potentially a final against a Proven winner like Adams....
I am a big fan of Waites and if none of my horses are to win then he'd be first on list, but def won't be having any financial interest as 10/3 represents bad value IMO!!!"the impossible is often untried"

14 doubles out of 57, poor stuff.

Don't have anyone backed in the top half because didn't really fancy anyone there. Have Hankey/Winstanley backed in the bottom and would hope they meet in the semi's. Want to have an interest in the top half, so where's the value?
Adams (90.12 / 90.78) v O'Shea (88.80 / 90.48) - Staying away from there
Harms (82.32 / 90.72) v Jennings (83.94 / 82.86)
I didn't see any of Harms games apart from the finish of his game last night where he was stuck on Double 1 for a while so i'd imagine that he threw a 91.5 game which would be the 3rd highest in the tournament so far. Can't imagine Jennings will cause him too much trouble looking at those averages (8/11 in that match looks pretty tasty)
Boyles have him priced at 12/1 to win at the moment? Worth €20?

Brendan Dolan would walk the BDO.
I give up.
That's pretty shocking stuff.
On the flip side, it does make for some exciting matches. You do get the odd ton plus finish, but there's also a piece of me that loves the miss v miss when they get to the doubles that you don't normally get with the PDC. Think Green v Harms were stuck on 8/4/2 for about 15 darts each at the end of the match with each player have 9 darts to take out the set/match. Tense, exciting stuff imo

Some of the doubling has been terrible but it is a fair point that these guys get a lot less tv time than the PDC boys so the pressure of the camera still gets to them.Originally posted by ArmaniJeansI like this heat - some proper music innit.

He is one of the few players on the Bdo circuit who I thought would genuinely have a chance of mixing it with the PDC boy, I'm struggling to think of any now that would even make the last 16/q finals of the PDC...??"the impossible is often untried"

Kist averaged 96 tonight after 97 in the 1st round.
Id like some of that 12s now, if he keeps it up hes World Champ.
Hankey averaged 85 and Waites 86, thats piss poor.
If either played like that in the PDC they wouldnt break the top 32.Originally posted by ArmaniJeansI like this heat - some proper music innit.

Impressed with Norris in this game. Looks to have a good game about it and could be a good player if he can add a few points onto his average

Might be worth a shot
Think the straight bet @ 2/1 is better here but then thats just my view on it.

Dobromyslova just took the first set against Gulliver. Surprised she's just 4/6 to win the match from there tbh
Edit - Got a little bet on Dobro to win 2-1 @ 11/4. Good value imo
