It's similar to national pride, but instead of it being Ireland, its all of Europe. Even the Irish contribution to the team is very limited, POD is a liability to the team and depending on your viewpoint, Rors and Gmac may not even count as Irish. Tbh I just don't get the sense of 'European pride', along with the 831m other europeans... Maybe I'm different, I dunno.
Sorry I haven't explained myself very well, but I hope you understand what I mean.
Historically the US have always ben arrogant about their tour and their superiority therein.
The Ryder cup used to be a showcase of American talent with Europe making up the numbers. The likes of Sevy and Monty and like him or hate him Faldo have instilled pride and passion in our tours match up. The gap between the US and European tour has closed especially with the world events but the growth of the ryder cup as a spectacle
and the competitiveness of it has captured our imagination so we are now ingrossed in what is one of the wolrds great sporting events. Just my garbled opinion of it. I blame Sevy for my passion for Europe anyway, he'll always be my fav golfer off all time.

To top it all off, I cannot stand Monty, and would find it hard to pull for his team.
Don't get me wrong, I think this is a super sporting event, but not just because I am 'European'.

I think they are using the Ricky's Titliest not Jim's Srixon?

That was ugly, Should have stuck with my treble, threw them in last, even though i thought the pairing of Zach and Hunter lokked strong. That's what ya get for greed.
Agree C Kid, can't help but like Bubba and Overton. Their demeanor is refreshing to see.''Any change is resisted because bureaucrats have a vested interest in the chaos in which they exist.'' - Richard Nixon

The Macs game is going to be very crucial but I still love Kuchar/Cink in that one.
