Didn't fair too well unfortunately. After timing i know but couldn't believe Fairyland went off @ 12/1. When she was 3rd in the July cup I thought heres a one to follow at 5f ..then ran 2 bad races and because she had burnt me I lost faith..oh well could be worse..hope Mia feels better.Jayzus, Sheila! I think if Modred stays as I suspect he will, might go close. Only horse I've backed in Ayr is Another Touch 4:25. Hes been a frustrating horse I've followed since his early days. Should have bagged a few more than he has. Gonna give him another chance after he ran well LTO.location green and yellow stretford end

Anyway, nothing to do now except enjoy the sweat! Hopefully Enable's leg falls off overnight."We are not Europeans. Those people on the continent are freaks."

I think that was it last week, won't be getting involved at the 4/1 anyway! Also, I detest the fact that they even try and run flat races at Thurles."We are not Europeans. Those people on the continent are freaks."

Dreadfully unlucky, was a certainty beaten, but I wouldn’t agree that he got a poor ride. I thought Crosse was so cool on him the whole way round, settled him beautifully and then it all went to f#ck in the straight when they came in on him and he got boxed just as the winner went for his run. It was just unlucky really.

I rarely complain about jockeys (do have my theories about them and there are certain ones I wouldn't back with your money ). I think Crosse will be a top rider in time and that will just be a step on the learning curve."We are not Europeans. Those people on the continent are freaks."

FWIW unless hold up tactics suit, the rail just in behind the leader is probably the place I'm most happy for a jockey to place a horse.Profit before people.

Actually that is one of the more interesting angles. Some jocks are superb at certain tracks. Mick Kinane was worth 7lb+ on the old Leopardstown sprint track. The lads who come up via pony racing are brilliant on the tight, turning circuits."We are not Europeans. Those people on the continent are freaks."
