whatever your backing tomorrow stick it in a double with Sargent Foaley in the final race tomorrow at Perth. Never asked any kind of serious question last time out and looks a good thing tomorrow. It's Elliots so take a price......if it goes off at a bigger price then it's got no chanceD15 CASINO, Mulhuddart Village (opp Blanchardstown shopping centre)

Hector O hEochragain had a horse a couple of years ago called Steve Capall
Any thoughts on the Dante? A lot of positive noise coming from Ballydoyle re Seville but looks impossible to have a strong opinion on any of them on bare form. Epsom could be rubbish this year if none of these impress today because all the other trials for the derby/Oaks have been massively underwhelming.Profit before people.

Think the 8/1 about Twice Over has to be taken E/W in the big one at Newbury today.Last edited by The Situation; 14-05-11, 13:11.Profit before people.

Based on his two 3 year old runs this year Indian Shuffle looks an ew bet @12/1 in the next at Windsor. Seems to have come on a lot over the winter in terms of strength and has the scope to improve imo. Fav does look strong though here but at current prices Indian shuffle is the value.Profit before people.

I think they have done a good job handicapping him so I would be surprised if they ruined it today.
I suspect the PP move is largely prompted by some people taking (or PP protecting against) 5/1 EW in the knowledge that the jolly is a very likely non runner and the net price is bigger taking the R4. FWIW we have taken bits and pieces of money for him but at this stage he certainly doesnt look like one they are going to try and have it off with. He isn't even a loser in our book.
Basically he may well win today but I am not moved towards backing him despite him being one I have been watching for some time. For me he looks like an ideal horse for the 2m6f Hcp Hurdle on the Saturday in Galway where he is likely to get in on close to bottom weight.
I have to back him anyway as the lad who gives me the Mullins horses doesn't owe me anything.
Different topic - have you written off Mesariya after her Naas run?

Night Lily is overpriced at 7/2 to do the business in the 3.50 @ Yarmouth. Handicapper has given a genourous mark of 80 after an under-rated ride from a poor draw lto in the spring cup. She was winning off 87 on the all weather and I don't think she's that much weaker on the real stuff so should take the beating in this moderately poor race IMO. Today's jockey seems to be able to get the best from her too.Profit before people.

Been looking at the Goodwood 3.50 which is a maiden over 6f. The favourite is very strong and Hugh Taylor is going for the second favourite. Both ran on their first and only runs to date in what looks like it could have been a pretty not maiden. The favourite today Trumpet Major was a nose and a short head third in that race, while Taylors selection travelled well to 2 furlongs out before starting to run around and then being eased.
What I noted was 2 lengths further back in 4th that day, Brian Meehan's St. Barths, which ran green but was still unlucky in running. Meehan has a newcomer in this race called Right to Dream. He will have a very good idea what it would take to win this race and there have been some very good reports concerning Right to Dream so I think there is a bit of value in an each way bet. He is currently trading on Betfair at 24 win and 4ish for the place. He is trading at 14s on PP.'Mental Toughness is doing the right thing for the team when it's not the best thing for you' - Bill Belichick

9.6mls of rain overnight. Ground going to be good.
Powers now going 9's about Banimpire- medium-high stake EW bet here imo.
Seen a recent stat on Ryan Moore(who rides the fav) that on fancied horses in group 1's he's only won 2/46. Pretty shocking record. Prob too small a sample and could well be just an anomaly but it is heartening when your against him in the race.Last edited by The Situation; 22-05-11, 09:58.Profit before people.

I've done a lot of study on the 1000 and I just can't get confident about anything in it. Might have a very small e.w. punt on Handassa and Laughing Lashes.
Too many didn't run their race in that trial at Leopardstown so I'll forgive Handassa that run. Fran Berry could have ridden History Note or Ballybacka Lady but chose to stick with Jessica Harrington's charge so I'll have a pop at that one. Very wide open for me though, I like Emiyna, Together and Banimpire and respect all their chances and I'm massively afraid of Chrysanthemum.'Mental Toughness is doing the right thing for the team when it's not the best thing for you' - Bill Belichick

Cracking card at Sandown this evening.
Can anyone see Holberg get beat in the 7.05? Arguably at his best when fresh, winning first time out the past two years. Has only run over this 16f twice but again arguably his strongest trip, with one 4 length victory at Ascot a couple of years ago and 6th in the Melbourne Cup, only 3 lengths behind so you think whose been riping it up since he's arrived on these shores. Stable not exactly firing would be my only worry but I'm on a 6/4.Profit before people.
