going to stick a tenner on dunne to score anytime, again he seems to stick the head in anywhere, and given that ireland will most probably be behind, can see him making his way up the field for any Corners's/free kicks.the prices look all over the place on this with boyles as low as 8/1 and 365 as high as 18/1 according to o/c,tenner it is with 365.Mattie McGrath wanna-be

My fairly unremarkable views on Ireland v Spain http://greyhoundowner.blogspot.ie/20...open-2012.htmlThe sport that unites Catholic, Protestant and dissenter has had its day of days. Pity anybody who can't enjoy it. Some day. Gerry Thornley 23/3/09

Anyone betting against Ireland should be escorted on to the next flight to Kinshasa and have their passport taken off them.

Funny, in the bookies today a guy besides me asks for a price on McGeady to score first and Ireland to win 3-1 and immediately puts on 20 quid. I ask him if he likes giving away money, which he replies... "fuck off and mind your own business" ...

Just a quick question regarding befair if someone here knows
If I back for instance 'gomez' to be top scorer on betfair, and if it finishes theres 2 top scorers with gomez 1 of them.. with betfair would I be paid fully the odds I got or would I get half and the person that layed him get half back also?

Bit gutted when he came off as I thought Del Bosque would keep him on for confidence reasons.
Even more gutted that I looked at tournament top scorer when it was announced he was starting, everyone had shortened him bar Stan James who still had him at 25's but didn't have an account with them and I was too lazy to create a new one right when I was heading out the door

Going alright, neither France or Portugal setting the world alight but as long as they progress (preferably with France toping group D) I'll be happy. Probably positive that Portugal are doing decent without Ronaldo hitting anything like top gear yet. Should prob get out of my Cesc top scorer position for small profit as he mightn't start a game again with Torres looking so good, pains me to do it though.Profit before people.

Yeah it's unlikely Spain would resort to such tactics but if the game so happens to be at a score draw at about 70 mins they'll probably stop attacking at the fear of knocking each other out. It was a good trading opportunity though as draw was average draw price originally and was always going to get a lot shorter, 13/8 ish now.

I really fancy France tonight, can't take too much from the England game, dire stuff from England and a draw wasnt a bad result for France so was always likely to be a nothing match. theyve shortened now but it was crazy price at 6/5 for a bit. Also in deep on them to win the group so hopefully they scoop tonight!

that said, i just cant see ukraine having much say in this game though. i expect france to have a very significant superiority in possession (prob 60/40) as they are obviously bringing in the tic-tac (spain/barca) style to their game more and more.
that said i dont see there being bags of goals either.
i'm going for betting on france score wins 1-0, 2-0Last edited by bustamoves; 15-06-12, 14:08.

going for Ukraine in 1st match @ 14/5, if the prime minister is staking best quality
cognac on it .................
just think these odds are too good for the host nation and France although are unbeaten in 22 and never lost to Ukraine in a competitive match I feel today is a good day for that to end
SPOILERWARSAW (Reuters) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov is so convinced the buoyant co-hosts will beat France in Euro 2012 Group D in Donetsk on Friday (12:00 p.m. EDT) he is betting his best-quality cognac on it.
After a morale-boosting 2-1 win over the Swedes at a rocking Olympic Stadium on Monday, Azarov said he was sure Ukraine would win even though they have never beaten France who are on a 22-match unbeaten run.
However, with spearhead Andriy Shevchenko on song after his two-goal show in the capital and France coming into the game on the back of scoring just once from 19 shots against England, the outcome is far from certain.
Now is the perfect time for a first Ukraine win as three points would guarantee them a quarter-final berth and send the country, beset by political turmoil, into raptures.

Bet I like for tonight is Russia/Draw in the half time/full time market @18/1. Greece have been particularly terrible in this tournament in first halfs, being behind and outplayed in both the first two games early on. Very similar in qualifying, if you took half time results they'd have only achieved 9 points as apposed to the 24pts they actually achieved. They were easily the worst first half team out of all the group toppers. Their strength seems to lie in their supreme fitness and taking advantage of their opponents tiring in games late on. Did that against the Poles and were easily the better side in the 2nd half against the Czechs despite not finding the crucial 2nd goal to equalise. And if you saw the last Russian game they where out on their feet after 70 mins and the Poles could have won it in the end. Arshavin in particular looked wrecked and when his influence weakens it hampers Russia's effectiveness greatly both going forward and defending.Profit before people.

I've ploughed into it and will trade off if the Dutch take the lead, you are basically getting over 6's on the Dutch to win and Denmark to lose, cracking price.
