I lost my phone (Galaxy S) about a mth back .
Think i might have spotted it in somebody elses possession . I had a sneaky check on the phone to see if any of my numbers or apps were still there but the phone looks as if it was wiped clean .
Is there any other way that i or my provider can check or trace if its mine .

Not sure if you can do it without a credit card, but if you download the app 4shared and search for what you want with .apk at the end of it, you can get most apps for free. Might not be strictly legal though.
I put my credit card details in the app store when I first got my phone and as far as I can see there's no way to delete them.. Had my 3 year old son buying apps all over the place before I realized you could pin protect it! Had to delete a smurfs game I downloaded for him cos there was an option to buy $99 worth of smurfberries!! I think I would have cried if he bought them.

Is this true and if so who does it .
If yes then just call the network and tell them you have a phone that you previously lost but have now found and you want it 'un-blacklisted'
Don't think it's possible to get the IMEI number changed.

Lost phone thurs 27th oct , Called VF the nxt day to report it lost .
The CS rep tried to connect me to to VF insurance but couldnt get thru so gave me the number to try . I tried to call them for 4 days and eventually got them on tues 1st nov .
The rep explained to me that they were closed due to the bank hols , took my details and told me there was a 48 hr waiting period (fine by me )
Called them on thurs 3rd and they said everthing looked fine but i would have to pay an outstanding balance of €81 before they could proceed with my claim .
Done that and called them back to be told i would have to ring CS to get the handset barred .
Done that and was told i would have a phone in the post by the following tues. By the wed i had no phone so i called them to find out where my phone was and they told me my claim was declined because i had not reported it lost strait away and i didnt get it barred until a wk later .
Since then they have also cancelled my ins policy .
In short VF ins are cunts and VF themselves are useless cunts .
Advice to anyone is dont bother taking out insurance , its worthless .

I tried to open up a training vid on a site using my HTC and it asked me to download Microsoft Silverlight. The only download options it gave me were for Windows or Mac, and not Android so it didn't work.
Is there a way to download it, or if i have something else downloaded in it's place, will it just use that to open it instead?
Will try Michelle's link below if that's the case.

very strange problem with my android HTC desire S
I recently put some new numbers in my phone... I got a message today from someone and the number wasn't known but when I opened the message it was from someone in my phone book and we had sent several previous messages which are all there.. But for some reason it is not associating the name with the number... most older numbers seems to work but it's definitely not picking up the numbers when these people call either..
any ideas?

Maybe try Skyfire Browser or Opera? They process the website on their server before they send it to your phone, that might process the silverlight video. I know it used to work with windows mobile phones that didnt natively support flash video years agoLow fee Euro/UK money transfer, 1st transfer free through my referral

Has anybody ever used tracking apps/remote wipe apps anything along those lines? I rang my phone 20 minutes or so after I realised it was stolen & it went straight to voicemail it had a sim and screenlock doubtful they got to any of my info, but the person would have access to the memory card, nothing bad on it just pics I would of liked to keep of my family/friends is there anyway to protect the SD card from future accidents.
Apps like THIS or THIS any input greatly appreciated."you raise, i kill you" El Tren :{)

https://www.htcsense.com/ is the link, I think you just sign up as a new member there. Once signed up, if it's the same as my phone, it'll do all the remote tracking and things from the website."In the world, there are many kings but there is only one God. I am God, I am El Tren" :{)
