Rolling my foot out gives immediate relief but working my calves is the LT fix. Unusual in a scenario like this the LT fix is easier to do.
I find the AthLean-X guy on YouTube very good, none on shin splints but he has some running mechanics stuff so perhaps something to look at, best of luck with it.
Running training has been poor as of late because of the injury mentioned above, not sure what to do about the upcoming races.
