    66 bvb 3-handed

I am in sb with 23bigs vs CL in bb with 100bigs. 3rd player had c. 40bigs left. no antes

    Winner gets 200, 2nd gets 75euro (only 2 paid)

3mins left on clock. next level is 300/600 which would leave me with under 10bigs but 10min levels

both players are regs and seem quite competent

    fold and wait or push??

soory if this is yawn stuff from some of you but i gotta get these things sorted in my head

Has it been three handed long? Has CL folded or called when shoved on previously? Has anyone been opening more than their fair share of pots? Have you any reads on either player? Quite competent lags/tags/rocks/nits?

This is a great post about how to post questions about hands

The reason being here that the table dynamics affect the play hugely at this stage of a tournament. It's not easy to make a decision here with limited info, if you can help people, they can help you..

Sorry I'm on the iPhone and didn't see the header. I think open shoving 23 bigs is a bit excessive. I'd raise 3-4x and if he ships it sucks but your still way ahead of his range so I'd call. Him calling is probably the most annoying/awkward OOP. Theres a lot of flops your committed to but thread carefully, gain as much info with the small stack you can on 2 overcard boards eg qjx flops. Bet half ish pot and if he ships then you gotta fold I think. Its a tough spot though, it would be so much handier if it was in the next level where with 10xbb stack its the most blatent shove ever.

sorry man. i had 13 bigs the CLk had c. 50 and the other guy had roughly double my stack so say 25 bigs.

That complete changes the hand, and tbh makes it easy to play.
                  It's a shove.

Getting details like that right is pretty important to get the most back from a hand. See the post linked above.

                    Seems like a shove w/ 23bbs anyway

Although pushing isn't a terrible play, I wouldn't do it with 23 BB. You are risking your whole tourney at worst, at best you pick up the blinds. If you are called the best you can hope for is a coin flip. At this level just make a standard raise. If the big stack raises you all in you can still fold.

When you are down to 10 BB your M is just 6, ie you will be blinded out in 6 orbits. Your only move is to shove or fold, and 66 is plenty good enough to shove here. When your M is 7 or less and you are on the button, shove with any pair, any A, all suited connectors and hands with both cards >10. In the SB shove with all but the worst hands.

I agree, jam here with 13 or 23 bb's, even with no antes.

At best you double up and have a shot at the win.
Your going to have to 'risk your tourney' at some stage and blind v blind with 66 seems like a good spot.

This is the worst of all choices. If i raise im calling a shove.

Raise folding is leaving yourself open to be exploited.

its prob a shove with 13BBs. not a shove with 23.
