Just to let you know, this clashes with the revised dates and venue for Irish Poker Masters.

      Thanks for shout Mick.

The November Festival has been the same date, the last weekend in November, for the past 10 years. Its always the same dates to coincide with the End of Month and the Poker Championship Main Event. Its a bit surprising that another operator wouldn't be familiar with it as it is a fairly high profile TV event. Alas we dont have control over the decisions of other operators and it is a pity if that is the case. We have TV and Media commitments around our event every year so arrangements are already made for this years event and the usual dates.

          Hi All,

The Irish Poker Masters was moved to the November dates due a to a scheduling issue as partypoker aslo had a €2,000,000 GTD in DTD on the same dates that we originally scheduled the IPM.

City West Hotel is my preferred venue for an event of this size unfortunately they had no available dates from September to December and the only dates that the Green Isle had available where the dates listed.

It's never my intention to clash with any operator, least of all someone like the Fitz who have supported the Irish Open and Irish Poker Masters in the past. At the time of booking the new dates I wasn't even thinking about the Fitz festival as I only looked at what events where scheduled in hotels.

I will see if a solution can be found at our end.
          €10,000 GTD New Monthly Tournament
Village Green Card Club, Last Thursday of the Month, €270 Freezeout
          €1,000,000 GTD - Irish Open
          CityWest Hotel, 6th-13th April

            Mick,

Thanks for the listing. Apprentice it.

            JP,

With a lot of poker operators out there now the odd clash is somewhat inevitable from time to time on poker events. Larry accidentally set one of his Megastack events last year that clashed with the November Festival and once realised we had a chat about it and a satisfactory outcome for all was reached (Larry is a gent so it was never likely to be a big issue). Hopefully a satisfactory outcome can be reached this time around as well as its is not in the operators or the players interest to have two big Dublin events on at the same weekend if it can be avoided.

Also there could be a smaller clash in June with the 50k Fitz Poker Masters and its new 1 day format is set for Saturday June 15th. There might be a clash with one of your Mini Grand Prix? That probably isn't a big deal in the scheme of things as your event is a week long while ours is just the one main event night this year.

            Regards

I see there were some changes made to the November schedule. Is there any reason the Main Event now is a one-day turbo and not even a 2 day event since the next day is a Sunday?

I absolutely dont see any downside and playing a 440€ turbo with a medium structure is really not very appealing. Also if I were the administrator of the 1k Event that got cancelled I would feel pretty cheated right now that the supposedly televised and biggest event in the Fitz that I cancelled my tourneament series for got changed to a 1 day turbo.

Any chance of making it a 2 day event please, otherwise is pretty much like playing a second EOM in a week. For a lot of players a 440€ tournament is above standard buy in and would probably be turned off in playing it if the structure is not very appealing.

They're marketing manager left and i don't think they replaced him, I'm not sure anyone from there monitors here any more. You'd be best off ringing or talking to them in person.

Agreed didn't realise it was a one day that does seem a shame
