The convenience of being able to get perfect heat, and ready to grill in 5 minutes outweighs by a country mile that little bit of extra flavour. I personally think that extra flavour comes from cooking on a naked flame rather than the charcoal.
These days if the weather is nice, we'll have a bbq for lunch, all done in half an hour. Even cooking roast chicken works perfectly or using it as a pizza oven works great as you can get the temp up to over 280c.
As I said, unless you're a slow cooking expert and have a green egg or similar, gas is a no brainer."We are not Europeans. Those people on the continent are freaks."

I don't know so much. Steaks off the BGE are amazing and it doesn't hold that much advantage over a run of the mill lumpwood barbecue for a steak. I don't think gas would give the same effect.
Regarding the pizza box add on, my suspicion is that you won't get the even cooking you need. I think proper pizza requires the stone to be at around 450C but also a flame above the pizza to cook the top at the same rate. I suspect you'd be waiting a very long time to get there with that add on, and I wonder if the warm air would give the same effect as the flame. I think if you really like pizza then €150 on the Ooni 3 is worth the investment over something like that.

I'm waiting until first week of June to go buy outdoor stuff. This purely for the purposes of putting our secondary schooler to work.

If you have to plant mint in a bed rather than keeping it in pots plant in a bucket or some sort of sealed off area or it will run wild and the wilder it runs the less flavour it has.Turning millions into thousands

It is a challenge for sports leagues across the world - if play can only resume in empty stadiums, how can the atmosphere be improved?
However, not many clubs will be rushing to follow the example of FC Seoul.
The top-flight South Korean side has apologised after fans accused them of using sex dolls in the stands.
FC Seoul insisted they were "premium mannequins" rather than sex dolls - but did admit they came from a supplier that produces sex toys.
And some of the dolls were holding signs advertising x-rated websites - despite pornography being banned in South Korea.
The mannequins' manufacturer told the BBC they had apologised to FC Seoul. But they also reiterated that the dolls were merely "premium mannequins".

It's really more along the lines of Communist countries claiming they had full employment always.
Example: you go to a shop to buy a jumper. You select a jumper. You bring jumper to checkout. You hand jumper to Lady A, She rings up the transaction. You hand Cash to Lady B. She takes it and hands you your change. Lady C wraps and bags your new jumper and wishes you a good day.
Lo and behold, we have full employment.
Your thinking is Level One. I'm surprised at Strewel here.

Was just chatting to a mate on facebook there. He was in Nepal in early in the year. While he was there, they cancelled permits, closed the borders, and he's been stuck there on his own since. Hasn't seen his wife in months. Kinda puts in in perspective for the people complaining about being stuck at home with their families.

Currently into the 5th hour of Beaumont A&E.
Got a call from Dad this morning to say he was in a bad way and needed an ambulance. He'd lost all power in both his legs and couldn't move or walk.
Called the ambulance and went straight to him. Emergency services told me they had no ambulances at the minute and to call them when I got there. I arrived within 10 minutes and he had managed to get to his feet but still wanted to go to to hospital, something he normally never wants to do.
Called 999 again and was told still no ambulances available and they weren't sure when they'd have one so I managed to get him in the car and took him in myself.
Place was busy when we got here and it is just getting busier and busier. People are now ignoring the 'Do Not Sit on this Seat' signs as the place is almost jam packed.
This place really is grim as fuck.

this is utterly correct in my view, if people from the poker forum (or elsewhere) were acting the bollocks, then punish them in the normal manner and move on. A reprisal against the entire poker community just hurts the 99% of posters who had nothing to do with this messing.
That old thread is the DNA of the poker forum and has some amazing content on every subject under the sun - this collective punishment is both arbitrary and unfair. I would certainly review my opinion and membership of boards.ie if it were not reinstated."We are not Europeans. Those people on the continent are freaks."

Highly provocative mini documentary of the Regency shooting from early 2016. Don’t quite know what to make of their conspiracy theory, wild suggestion to say the least! It’s a studio based in Birmingham that made it so I’m fully in wtf land here.
Edit: I did always wonder about a lack of a Garda presence there on the day mindLast edited by LuckyLloyd; 18-05-20, 17:53."Worldly wisdom teaches that it is better for reputation to fail conventionally than to succeed unconventionally." - John Maynard Keynes

While staying at aforementioned hotel, there was that shooting - then, the security guard minding our apartment block stole all the women's underwear (I had to go check if they had taken mine while the new security guard followed us with a torch). He was arrested.
I was told I could move back in, I turned up with all my stuff to find out the apartment was not ready whatsoever. Finally, I was allowed back in to my apartment after some more weeks, which I have to say, was an assault on the senses. The smoke damage smelled so pungent, breathing was disgusting. Cancer with every breath.
Not to mention how loud it was, as electricity generators next to my front door were as obnoxious as sleeping with your head next to a truck engine - when they were on that was, as the estate agents generally cheaped out and let the fuel run out at weekends when there was nobody to complain to.
Shortly after this, I was hit by a car and broke a couple bones, was bed bound for a few months after a couple of surgeries - without the use of my dominant arm or hand or the ability to dress myself. My first grey hair arrived.
As a cure to all my woes I ended up at Hotspur's IPB 8 week mindfulness course where solace was finally granted to me at the culmination - eating lunch at our day of silence, smiling inwardly as I ate a fake bacon sandwich mindfully slowly in front of Raoul, his eyebrows furrowed in a vain attempt to understand the situation.
