Honda, I'm in the process of making that moqueca. I'm using prawns and some cuts of halibut and monkfish. Local fish monger very helpful and obliging to me not having a clue. All looks and smells great so fingers crossed I don't make a complete balls of it. Fried up some chorizo and going to add that in too because chorizo is never a bad idea.

Haven't seen the recipe but I made a Mary Berry fish pie last week and it was incredible.

Magic ingredient in it was lemon rind. Such a powerful addition to a fish based dish.

Lightly crushed parboiled baby potatoes on top too rather than mash, fantastic.
I hold silver in tit for tat, and I love you for that

Yeah we have fish pie in regular rotation. Missus makes an unreal one so I leave her to it.

Think that's the recipe I use I've done it a few times at this stage so not following the recipe
Of all the Brazilian food I've had Moqueca is well up the list alongside feijoada. Absolutely savage, love it when the missus cooks it. I don't recall smoked fish being used but why not. We've always used hake/cod/whiting/haddock - whatever white fish was in the frozen section at the supermarket. Back in Brazil, she'd have used pescada (hake) or tilapia. I prefer the north eastern/Bahia version as it has more flavour. All of the cuisine from this region is amazing and mostly derived from African slaves' influence. Cheap ingredients but incredible flavour. That said all of the Brazilian food I've had has been fantastic.

If for some reason you ever find yourself in Sao Paulo, I'd highly recommend taking a spin out to the Mocoto, not too far from Guarulhos airport. They specialise in food from the north east and its easily one the best dining experiences I've had. No reservations, so you have to get there early or face a big queue. Incredible caipirinhas too. Cheap as chips. I believe it won an award for world's best no reservation restaurant last year. Had the pleasure of visiting it just before Europe went into lockdown a few weeks back.

Anthony Bourdain was there and this will give you an idea, skip to 34:15 or so.

Good man, enjoy it. Put a pic when you're done. Mentioned this to the missus and she's curious to see how it turns out. Will be having some myself later in the week.

Some of the wine experts here might be able to assist. Looking for a wine we had a wedding in the states and cannot for the life of me seem to find it available in Ireland.

Well it couldn't have gone any better really. One of the tastiest dishes I've ever eaten. It's like there was a party in my mouth. Used this recipe and added cuts of halibut and monkfish and chorizo to it. https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/...eca-prawn-stew

She was equally impressed and said she thinks it's one of the best things shes ever eaten

Not as thick as I'd like so will rectify that next time. Definitely going to be something we add to the rotation.

I doubt you will get that particular one in Ireland (might be wrong!)

But its a tempranillo, try a few tempranillos and see whats closest

I also had tripe and it it too was a winner. Having lived for years in Miami, the missus' uncle wouldn't tell me what was in it as he was used to yanks going green in the gills

No smoked fish in the recipe you're right coillcam, but that's the way I usually make it. Adds a nice flavor. Jealous of your food escapades in Brazil!

Plenty of lime on that fish before it went in I hope Dobby! Also making it tonight!

Yeah, 4 squeezed limes, half the juice poured over the fish in a bowl and marinated with garlic for an hour. Launched the rest in while it was cooking

Is there not some version of this type of rice in Ireland? Adds such great flavour to a dish as you have the three different rice tastes.

Hmmm. Not sure but will definitely check it out.

It's completely ludicrous, it assumes all of the personnel you would have onsite for a Premier League Super Sunday with all the media trimmings. Right off the bat, we don't need commentators or presenters at the ground, they can commentate remotely on a live stream. We also don't need written press or photographers present. Doping control can be suspended. They assume a four man match day furniture team. Can we make do with two? We then assume full squads, full coaching and medical staff, surely they can trim a bit there?

In any case, I was able to take 100 from their 300 number quite easily. I don't doubt that a Premier League game is a much bigger and more complex thing than we might assume, and a minimum of 150 people may need to be in the area for it to work. That said, they can use outdoor training pitches and construct temporary facilities around them that build in social distancing.

This is a question of money and will. If the money is there (and we think it is) and the will is there (and we know it is from multiple stakeholders involved) it can be done.

I do agree with dobby generally though - I haven't missed it and most days I don't even think about it.
Yup, agree with all that. 30 playing and non-playing staff from each team, refereeing officials, cameramen/TV logistics (excluding commentators etc, just those needed for the match to actually be broadcast), security, medical staff/ambulance. 100 people sounds like it'd get the job done, maybe I'm way underestimating what's needed but it's basically just recording a football match in an empty stadium.

Also agree with that. Even if there's a lot of logistics I'm unaware of and 300 people are an absolute must, it still sounds very manageable. Money is no issue here, having matches go ahead is so financially rewarding versus them not going ahead.

If every fixture can afford to spend hundreds of thousands of pounds on staging the match, then sure. The Premier League have the means to ensure absolute minimal risk to everyone involved.

The mortality rate fell to 8% from 11% which was a "good trend" so described as it wasn't statistically significant. Chinese trial suffered as they couldn't get numbers high enough to be significant. He said it was similar to the initial impacts of HIV treatments.

Can't see team sports getting the go ahead for a while yet.

It's not about what's happening off the pitch. It's a sport. The same sport that is played down the Phoenix Park on a Sunday morning.

Closest place I can see selling it is a wine shop in Germany, full details in the spoilered pic below.

It's a Spanish wine, 100% Tempranillo, so while you might not be able to get that exact wine in Dublin, you should be able to get very similar in any decent wine shop.

Corkscrew worth a look also. For a small shop, they have a lot of variety.

A mate of mine is working on some project and asked me who I thought was Ireland's greatest patriot. I think it's a very tough question but I came up with my top three below of

                                                      1) Gary Breen
                                                      2) Daniel O'Connell
                                                      3) Charles Stuart Parnell

After that, it's a random mix of the following, in no particular order (could easily throw another few dozen in the below list but this was just off the top of my head)

                                                      Theobald Wolfe Tone
                                                      Robert Emmet
                                                      John Redmond
                                                      O'Donovan Rossa
                                                      Sean MacDermott
                                                      Tom Clarke
                                                      Thomas MacDonagh
                                                      Patrick Pearse
                                                      Eamonn Ceannt
                                                      Joseph Plunkett

                                                          1) Gary Breen
                                                          2) Daniel O'Connell
                                                          3) Charles Stuart Parnell

After that, it's a random mix of the following, in no particular order (could easily throw another few dozen in the below list but this was just off the top of my head)

                                                          Theobald Wolfe Tone
                                                          Robert Emmet
                                                          John Redmond
                                                          O'Donovan Rossa
                                                          Sean MacDermott
                                                          Tom Clarke
                                                          Thomas MacDonagh
                                                          Patrick Pearse
                                                          Eamonn Ceannt
                                                          Joseph Plunkett
                                                          James Connolly
                                                          Michael Collins
                                                          Countess Markievicz

Who would people put as their greatest Irish patriot?

I just don't think there's good enough arguments not to go ahead with it. One player/club saying they think it's irresponsible to risk peoples' health would be weighted too heavily when considering the issue imo.

They should still award Liverpool the title though. Just ask City (only team who can catch them mathematically) do they concede the race. Time for sportsmanship the days we are in.
The winners of the league is just a tiny piece of the jigsaw. On paper, it's the easiest one to solve. Whatever yeard stick is used to decide the winner also has to be used to decide the European places, the relegation spots, the finishing postions.

With ~1.9m difference in prize money for each position, Bournemouth for example, are 1 win away from climbing a possible 3 spots, getting out of the relation zone and having equity worth an extra 5.7m prize money.

Then you have Leeds and West Brom being a decent margin clear for promotion to the PL and would be pretty pissed if they didn't get up.

Zero chance there will be a solution that keeps everyone happy.

Send them all to a remote dessert island for 4 weeks, have them play 2 x 60 minute matches a day, allow 7 subs per game, last man back, use jumpers for goalposts and each manager runs the line

Need to buy some game packs and check them out and see which ones work best. There's 12 in my team, so some of them will have to sit out a few games. Found this ratings list of the games, so going to go with this as a base. If anyone has any recommendations, then let me know!
