Yeah tis sad on one hand alright, but my team has been taken apart and I'm repeatedly training in new people that I'm not going to learn from, so basically it's kinda a greedy move by me.

Did a h.dip in comp science in 2014 (springboard course if I remember correctly, they are some job!) and luckily got contracted into the EPA nearly straight away as I also had an Env.Science degree and had done an internship there before (and met Finkle in the flesh).

I suppose I'm proud that I was fairly green heading in initially but worked my way from a sys admin role to basically becoming a 3rd line operations and security domain admin.

Biggest achievement is we weren't hacked while I was there, although not quite sure I can say that was down to me hahaha.

How is the shitcoin thing working? They are allowing these select customers to deposit and withdraw to provide liquidity to select shitcoins. They deposit shitcoins that they bought outside the exchange for let's says 10cent each and then sell the shitcoins on the exchange for 5x, 10x that price where they are massively overinflated )because they are allowing withdrawals in general for these select shitcoins forcing customer to take pennies on the dollar. I am trying to clarify it in my own head because I am only reading about it since your post and the whole thing seems so insane.

Definitely very different in a MNC vs a smaller place. I sit in a building with about 1k people but only work directly with about 3 of them. No real sense of community compared to the places I worked earlier in my life.

The norm in 4 x 4 group situations is that the group winner goes into one half of the draw and the runner up into the other half, so that they wouldn't meet again until the final.

Pretty blatant draw-fix was in place - it meant that it was impossible for England to play either Australia or NZ before the final, and by the same token impossible for the latter two to meet in the final as they would always head to the Headingley semi-final regardless of group position. Though it was a cracking semi-final as it turned out.

The 2nd half was poor, unable to take proper advantage of the extra man, and probably should have tagged on another 1-2 tries. Crowley showed enough glimpses of quality to suggest he has a proper future at test level.

Echo the panel halftime sentiments on Big Stu, putting the hand up again. Such a handful at 12, always sucking in and setting two defenders to give more options in midfield. Treadwell, Loughman, and Timoney all did well too. Curious to see where McCloskey figures in the depth chart after this winter series. Obviously, there's a 6N campaign and a full season to complete first.

Assuming it is Henshaw, Aki, Ringrose, and now McCloskey (Given the situation with Chris Farrell). Probably unlikely to change. Last time we brought 5x props, 3x 10s, and 2x 9s. That relies on the likes of Porter/Bealham to double job for backup and a utility back/10 to drop in as emergency cover at 9. I wonder who'd be the emergency 9 from the rest of the backs with that sort of squad makeup. Hansen another backup option for 10 also. I don't think we'd have a strong enough utility back as the 4th center option to warrant dropping one of the 4 specialists. Even though Ringrose and Henshaw between them can cover most of 10-15 in a pinch too. If Frawley is fit and has form he's the ideal swiss army knife back for a WC squad and pool games.

The back three selections will be tough, so much competition and depth now. The likes of Stockdale and Larmour will be under pressure to even have a sniff. Injuries have been against the lads tbf.

I worked at Full Tilt during black Friday so this brings back a lot of memories! The scale of what SBF has done is staggering, it's hard to take in. The chutzpah required to testify before congress and push for quite oppressive crypto legislation that would suit him, all the while knowingly running a fraudulent scheme from the outset, is quite something. FTX blowing up will take a lot of other companies with it.

The risks they took make no sense at all; running an exchange popular exchange is a license to print money, it's hard to lose - all this came about because his trading firm blew up, and he moved money from FTX to the trading firm to keep it solvent, which happened to be customer deposits. Maybe there was a god complex at play where he didn't want to admit any errors at all. The story of how the trading firm lost so much money is quite long, but suffice it to say, it beggars belief. If he had just let the trading firm die FTX could live on and he'd still be a billionaire.

In terms of the market at large, crypto was already in the doldrums and despite all of this not actually being directly related to crypto the reputational damage is huge. I'd imagine the democrats are hugely embarrassed that SBF was their 2nd biggest donor! It hasn't directly affected me yet but the industry just got much smaller overnight.

i will say that of the times I’ve been to see them the outdoor gig (forbidden fruit) had the worst sound- ok up front of stage but muddy further back and fairly sure the volume way down due to residential areas nearby- hopefully that won’t be the case at trinity but outdoor gigs can be hit and miss for acoustics I find

I hope the sound is good for ye. I've been to a number of outdoor gigs and tbh I rarely experienced problems. The one that sticks out as really bad was Hall and Oats in Iveagh Gardens. Hall the bollox was gimped with the flu so he barely croaked his way through the set. The sound itself was crap as well. Poor sound and a singer barely able to speak, they should've canceled the gig. We left early for food and beer. Paul Simon in the RDS had an average but 100% acceptable sound quality where I was positioned about 2/3 the way or so back from the stage. We stepped out to the back for food and to use the toilets coming towards the last few songs. At the back, the sound was absolutely perfect. Went to Simply Red in Collins Barracks recently. The sound was perfect there and it's such a class setting for a gig.

Other than Hall n Scrotes, my only other gig with a real sound issue was Stevie Wonder but it was in the 3 arena. Unfortunately, had poor sound for 1-2 songs but then it was 100% fixed. I had a good laugh at the twitter goons saying it was a disgrace and the whole set had bad sound. It was clearly fixed after the 2nd song. Indoor or enclosed outdoor gigs will always have better sound but I wouldn't be too worried.
