Wallace certainly has done the state. Not to mention his own workers.

I'm sure the bigger salary and expenses had no bearing whatsoever on his decision to run.

Still can't decide who's more hilarious: Bertie pretending to be a socialist, or Wallace.

Less than 10 hours to get involved in the WSOP Fantasy Draft. There's €225 of dead money in the prizepool so far. Give yourself a 6 week sweat on almost 100 events. You'd be mad not too!

                  Very good point.

Even Bill Gates was underestimating the stupidity of the general public when Terry Prachett pointed out the problem to him before it happened.

People said the same about tv, radio, the printing press and so on. There is just a lot of dumb people out there.

That Everest photo made me think about lemmings lined up falling off a cliff and I went to read about how the myth of their mass suicide started. Adding further to our early morning theme that phenomena such as fake news is not new, I saw this is the Wikipedia lemming page:

Perhaps the most influential and, for the lemmings involved, tragic presentation of the myth was the 1958 Disney film White Wilderness which won an Academy Award for Documentary Feature and in which producers threw lemmings off a cliff to their deaths to fake footage of a "mass suicide," as well as faked scenes of mass migration.

At brekkie this morning there were a last supper sized table of young folk. All 12 of them were looking into their phones. No interaction . I look at mine too much myself however I would feel very self-conscious sitting at a table , being on my phone and not interacting with the people I’m sitting with. It seems this is not an issue for the apostles of the smart phone. My arguments at home are akin to , hey get off your phone your children are growing up before your eyes. (or not before your eyes) - takes me 4 or 5 attempts to get a reaction. I think I’m going to have to break Sarah Conor out of her psycho cell and blow up Skynet. But first, I need to check the weather in California, ‘cuse me for a sec.

Would have been rude if them to talk about you when you were sitting right there best to keep it in a WhatsApp group.

I’m saying that people don’t spend to much time on devices and that social media is not overly saturated with shite just that people would get their crackpot ideas elsewhere if it didn’t exist.

I would contend that we have far more examples of people believing outright bullshit these days. And, because social media is such an amplifying echo chamber, no appeals to logic can succeed.

I found out a few days ago that Skynet is the name of China's video surveillance system. But much more interesting I learnt about China's 2020 planned roll-out of nationwide social credit system. It's fascinating.

I've just started to buy Sunday papers again after a 15 year gap. The Sunday Times is a shrivelled and less impressive version of what it used to be back then. Bought The Observer for the first time on Sunday.

Is the Sunday New York Times good does anyone know?

Humans make thousands of decisions a day. Naturally this means some will be wrong. Sometimes the magnitude and consequence of a bad decision by a good person is huge.

This is what we have judges and jury's for. So other humans can empathize and understand context and history, and culture and all the things that make us human before condemning us or not.

I'd be very careful about turning programmers and their bosses into effective judge and jury. So some senior commie party official, with his own biases and views, decides that the outcome of this decision in particular is very very bad. He asks his dev to weight it appropriately.

Skynet will make the world more black and white, and the black and white categories will be decided by people who aren't qualified to make those decisions.

                                                                              Yikes.
This may or may not be an original thought of my own.
All efforts were made to make this thought original but with the abundance of thoughts in the world the originality of this thought cannot be guaranteed.
The author is not liable for any issue arising from the platitudinous nature of this post.

Could see the bigger players moving away too to PSG, Munich and the big spanish clubs. Don't think the pool have the same draw. Same as United tbh. City the same in terms of location and draw but wages easier to get.

United fucked. Ole not the answer. Pogba a poison. No accountability (look at size of Shaw), bit part players playing bit part positions.
I think the opposite about Liverpool tbh in that they're a bigger draw than I can ever remember now imo. As much as I hate the antics of Klopp, the players seem to love that shit and you see the lads on the bench running in for their hug after every game. He is a draw for players in himself, also the analytical work they are doing, they're buying players that fit his system, pretty much guaranteed CL football with 4 teams from the PL going in and 2 finals in a row shows they can mix it with the big boys too.

Saying all that I'm gonna completely contradict myself and say money talks at the end of the day and city have a bottomless pit so who knows.
