Casting couch 'friendliness' is a traditional method of getting into films for young girlies trying to get their first Hollywood break, and considered an acceptable perk for aged directors doing interviews with such wannabees.

Mainly he wouldn't be as good technically so if you bat him early he's quite likely to be dismissed cheaply by the seamers. Even these 50-over bashfests require innings building.
