You don't need a company name to get a .ie anymore just need to send a mail explaining why you want it.

You have to have to company number to get a .ie url so you're pretty much stuck with .com

.ie urls are more expensive too since they are for proper businesses.

By the sounds of it, you don't need to buy a url at all. Essentially you are just blogging, so something like either Wordpress or Blogger.

On wordpress your website address would be along the lines of kennyipbblog.wordpress.com

No point in you paying for hosting and for a url for a small project like this.

If you really did want your own proper website then go to Black Knight hosting or Hosting Ireland. .

whats the best site to buy .ie URL's from? Should i just buy the .com instead? its just a site for hosting reviews and blog/vlog, personal tips and advice on a broad subject im new to all this
