Yes this is a discounted room rate for poker players.
Cost for double / twin is 118 and single 109 per night, Inc Breakfast.
Rate is available for any night over the festival.

Hotel price is 135 and 170 for the Friday @ Saturday. So you can imagine there is limited availability at the discounted rate. I have no doubt hotel will be completely booked out in the next week to 10 days.

Book by phone 091 538200 Business hours only or online by link below

I understand you will be able to buy in to all the events through the client shortly . If you give me a day or two I'll get you the full details.

Just to be clear, you can buy-in to the main event on the client now.
Go to Events / special / qualifiers and scroll down towards end of page and simply click register for either day1A or 1B.

Side events will be up on the client during the festival.

Hope this makes sense.

Hi,
I won a package in early January and can only register on day 1A...
I just got an email from Pokerstars saying that day 1B is full and that I would have gotten notification of a ticket token to register.....

The first email states
Hello Colette,

Thank you for your email.

Your PokerStars account was credited with a 'UKIPT Start Day Entry Ticket' which you will need to use to register yourself for your preferred start day via the PokerStars client.

We informed you via email that the ticket had been credited to your account and included instructions on how exactly to use it. Please review this email.

You will find the dummy tournaments on PokerStars under the tabs Events --> UKIPT --> Qualifiers. Please use your ticket to register for your preferred start day.

Thank you for your patience, and should you have any other questions, please let us know.

Kind regards,

Roberto C.
PokerStars Live Events Team

Hello Colette,

To which I replied that I still could not register for day 1B??? Then I get the email below

Thank you for your email.

After reviewing the event information, I am sorry to inform you that Day 1B is now full. As start day selection is subject to seat availability on each of the starting days, you can only register for the day 1A that is still available.

If you have travel commitments that only allow you to play on Day 1B, please send us your travel itinerary to further review your request.

We are sorry if this is inconvenient, and appreciate your understanding.

I am only starting on a contract basis with my job and have just barely been able to get the Friday off work, is there anything that can be done........

Hang on a second here..............
I can register for day 1B in Galway using CASH but if I won a package I can only register for day 1A - thats a load of BOLLIX, the email above from the Pokerstars representative is lies, DAY 1B IS NOT FULL

Ah lads, I am after getting this reply for Pokerstars - ARE THEY FOR REAL......

Hello Colette,

Thank you for your email.

Please note that you have not received further information (a confirmation email can be sent out after your tourney wins), because you have deselected the option "Receive Congratulatory Emails" on your account. You can change this setting via the Menu Options > Receive Congratulatory Emails.

Unfortunately since day 1B is full we cannot change it unless we have proof of your inability to attend the designated start day, so in this case we would need a letter from your employer informing us about your inability to attend day 1A.

this is A FUCKING JOKE.... I am just starting my Contract for a year,,,,, could you imagine... "Knock knock... would you mind doing me up a letter so I can change my starting day for a Tournament

WTF is going on

Yeah, likewise, really would suit me better to play on the Friday because of work - it sucks for us, forcing qualifiers to play on Thursday; I understand the reasons for Stars doing so, but even still, PPP or Boyles bend over backwards to suit their customers...

But hang on a secon Paul, the Pokerstars representative states that day 1B is FULL, which it clearly is not...

I am so annoyed.

I know its a pain in the ass, but surely someone could "forge" a letter for you. They don't know if the business is real or not and I would imagine they wont investigate it. From memory yourself and Martin have different last names. Have the CEO of "Fiery Wasabi Inc" write you a letter saying that you are needed for an important business meeting on Thursday!

It is quite funny that in order to register for the day of your choice you must lie through your teeth though! Sort it out PS!

Look, the fact is that your man Roberto is blatently lieing saying that Day 1B is fulll, and also its nonsense saying that I don't receive congratulations emails... I already received a "congratulations you have received a silver star" status, and can buy a pokerstars mug or some such nonsense....

Anyway I think I should stop posting... can Dave Curtis comment on this please.

TBH Colette I have had this problem before.

The initial email says you can change your start date up to a week before but they do cover themselves -

"Start day registration will close 1 week before the event begins. Until this date, you may unregister, receive the ticket back into your account, and re-register for a different day. Within the last week, the day you are listed for is FINAL. Seats on each day are limited and subject to availability. Once the cap has been reached, the tournament will appear as “full” and players will no longer be able to choose that day."

Once 1B starts to get overfilled compared to 1A they will close it off but often reopen it once 1A catches up.

Safest thing to do is reg for any 1B as soon as you qualify if you think there is any chance thats the day you want to play as there is never a problem switching to 1A.

You should be ok if you give them a decent reason - also watch out for 1B reopening for reg.
