Spot in Live Tournament last night

    Morning All,

This is a spot I've been in a few times, and I would appreciate opinions on it.

    Blinds are 400/800, I have a stack of 6,800, so 8.5 BBs.

Two limpers round to me in the big blind, and the small completes. I look down at 10 10

My initial reaction is shove, and this is what I do. I'm snapped by A J, the others fold.

    Flop is 9 8 5
    Turn Q
    River A

As I'm just in the big blind, should I just check and wait to see a flop?

I know that if I see that flop and shove, A J is going away, and I might be called by a 9, and I'm more likely to be in the tournament still.

    Thoughts?

Anything else but shoving is awful. Try not to be so results based.

Yeah, as the last have said perfectly played and ul, limping with 8 1/2 BB's wouyld be very poor, tbh your shoving range here should even be alot wider than 10 10.

Don't let yourself blind down to 8.5 bbs in the 1st place. All fine after that

Not the end of the world. Just don't raise/fold from an 8.5bb stack

muck pre? I was BB and it wasn't raised.

Also, I didn't let myself blind down, lost a couple of hands from 20k.

Some people on this forum attempt humour, pinch of salt etc.

As the lads said, shoving is the only option here, if you check pre here, you'd have 4 (?) lads in the hand, (6,7, etc getting a price to limp etc) which is not great for you post flop generally.

9 bigs decent tank tbf. UL played fne, defo dont be so result based or your game will be stunted like a mofo.

I don't agree with 9 bigs being decent

Yeah average would have probably been around 20-22 bigs.
