I suppose you could say they are technically delaying it already - the government can't go to the Aras to get the referendum result signed until all the cases are cleared. Hence no legislation can be brought.

Whilst the Joanne Jordan one strikes me as fairly lolworthy the other two look somewhat more grounded in legalese anyway - but I've no idea how quickly they can be addressed or whether they have any actual merit.

Children’s Referendum was 3 years.

Marriage equality was a couple of months.

The State got their act together after the last time Ms Jordan tried this one and similar to the marriage equality referendum there are real life consequences for delay so I’d imagine a pretty quick hearing before the President of the High Court and then leap frog appeal to the Supreme Court who will clear the decks for this and hear it quickly.

If it goes into the Court of Appeal it could take 2-3 years to be heard

I was lying in bed a couple of weeks back and noticed my fitbit was registering about 45-47BPM, that kind of freaked me, thought it was an error on my fitbit so I checked my pulse manually and it was REALLY that slow.

Have my heart app on the 30th of June, so will see what they are going to do with my artery. I def have a problem anyway as they called me.

Pretty much what Mocata says. I have this setup at work. Laptop connected to USB dock and 2x 24" monitors on a movable mount. I'm due a laptop upgrade after summer so the USB dock will be replaced with a USB-C/thunderbolt one and maybe better monitors if the budget allows.

How can you be shocked Strewelpeter? The defence was pretty weak I thought. No real alleging of regulator support for the action, no rebuttal to the tapes, hard for a jury of lay people to buy the line he was doing his job when the tapes showed nothing but contempt for everyone.

Still no sign of outright fraud at Custom House Capital being punished or other various notorious white collar crimes. We really need to resource the investigation and prosecution in this area and start doing some hard work.

Finally got my smart home temperature monitoring and zoning and alarm system installed and accessible via Alexa. Husqvarna are promising integration of the automower with Alexa in September. A few Phillips hue lights and some digital locks on the garage and doors and a bit more integration on the media side of things and I’ll really have my smart home stuff coming together. Need to get a robot vacuum cleaner though...

The geolocation reminder on forgetting to set the alarm and heating up the house on the way home in the winter is cool!

What looking at doing something similar

A crowd called Smart zone who are the Irish franchisee for Alarm.com. The benefit of using them is that Alarm.com are a huge player in this space and integrate a lot of stuff including alarms, heating, video, lights, solar and other future innovations. They also integrate with Amazon and google etc and are spending plenty on improving their proposition continually. Apps, voice control, Amazon skills etc. .

The concern I had with Hive etc is that you may end up stranded with stuff that doesn’t work with other bits and pieces. A big global economic player in this space is a better long term bet in my view but maybe you have the energy and commitment to integrate it all yourself. I’ve taken the easier approach to these things as I get older.

It didn’t cost much so far due to an Aviva insurance discount and the government grant. But as I add more bits from here that will be coming out of my pocket. There will definitely be some energy bill savings too.

Rang your man about it and he gave me the whole ah that's nothing to worry about, it's all sorted just not fully processed on the system. You can request to contact the bank on motorcheck, did that and got a text back confirming it still had money owing on it. Avoided going near it obv.

Got a call today from the garage that sold one of the others telling me he just got one in. Car is perfect, mint condition low mileage.

Again motorcheck says finance outstanding confirmed by the bank.

Texted him and he gave me the same spiel as the other guy. Saying nothing to worry about as he's licensed with FCA. Told him I couldn't do a deal without seeing a clean check.

After a lot of research I went with the honeywell evohome heating system. A valve and thermostat on each Rad to call for heat, unreal having room by room control, also decent Google home integration, I use IFTTT for the geo-fencing. Just had the niece over and she started an Irish dance party on Spotify and set the lights blinking green, all from Google home. It's a league above Alexa compared to some of my mates setups.

Well they didn't put on extra time in the Olympia last year. They came on early last night and played for two hours and a quarter in the end so there was a genuine amount of extra effort!
