    huh??

Interesting hand from a tourney last friday

    after the turn, Heads up,
    player A checks,
    player B bets 9800,
player A declares "raise" and puts out a big lump of chips,
    player B declares "all in"
    player A declares "2 Pair"
    player B declares "a set"
    hands go over
    river bricks

    dealer counts player B's all-in - 29k
then counts what player A has put in - 20k

she tells him he owes the pot another 9k
    he says he doesn't
    the floor is called...

Looks like an easy one to me, its an all in and a call....the chips must be matched.

well player A never called after the all in

technically he doesnt have to pay the extra 9k but its a bit of a pathetic angle shoot by him.

He should have to put the rest in imo and not try and angle here.

yep, it's a manky angleshoot, really bad form imo

anyway the floor ruled that he had not called the all-in and therefore did not have to put any more chips in, he also added (which was complete LOL) that his hand is effectively dead and if he had binked the river he was not entitled to the pot

It just goes to show that the chips should be counted before any more cards are turned over.
How many times as players do we say to dealers, sort the pot out after the result is known to speed up the game

                  Agreement.

All pots should be squared away before board is dealt out.
