Declan Connolly 130,000 - Scott Margereson 101,500 (anybody know who he is? Down as Irish but there is an English pro by that name) & Nick Abou Risk on 495,000 they're the only ones that I can see still left in.

Kinda quiet & unassuming and probably doesn't get the recognition he deserves, maybe he just likes it that way. Hastings 3rd in chips as for the guy in 4th Fedor Holz that kid is seriously good, wizard!

I think if you speak to any regular players or anyone in The Fitz he is very highly regarded. Not one to go the high profile route.

Would be cool if the current Domestic Live Irish No 1 shipped it

That's all the Irish out of the running with Declan Connolly finishing 103rd for $46,890 while Nick Abou Risk finished in 72nd spot for $96,445. Big congrats to all the Irish who put in a tremendous showing this year.

In related WSOP questions got 2% piece of an American in the ME who cashed for $34k my take was that me (Irish) don't have to pay taxes on winnings he got word from his accountant that he has to pay taxes on my piece, spoke with Doke and he said that you don't, I don't have a ton of experience when it comes to stuff like this & I'm sure the same is for him and is looking to cover his side so he doesn't have the IRS on at him.

Seen this from David Peters when selling for the 500k at Aria -

For any cashes I'll need your Tax number and address to send you a 1099. If you are not from the US I will still need your tax info but you only have to pay taxes on it if your country requires you to do so. I will not take anything out from your payout.
That's what my take was on it.

Dunno how it world, but from their perspective I could see it being his income which he then dishes out however he wants, so would get taxed. Unless there is some special rule around this.

Sounds like he (or his accountant) is being over-cautious. I think you can sort this out with a W-8BEN Form Danny.

"You must give Form W-8BEN to the withholding agent or payer if you are a nonresident alien who is the beneficial owner of an amount subject to withholding, or if you are an account holder of an FFI documenting yourself as a nonresident alien. If you are the single owner of a disregarded entity, you are considered the beneficial owner of income received by the disregarded entity. Submit Form W-8BEN when requested by the withholding agent, payer, or FFI whether or not you are claiming a reduced rate of, or exemption from, withholding...."
