    Blackjack question

my buddy and I are taking a daily trip to a local casino. we agreed to pool our resources into a $600 bankroll and a 50/50 split. since I have more of a net worth than he does, I said that if we deplete the $600 initial bankroll and I fund a new bankroll of $1000 he's not entitled to any of the winnings. he says he's entitled to 300/1600 or 19% of the winnings. Is he a friend or a bloody s***?

How does he come up with his number? Seems like he is entitled to precisely 0 unless there is something you aren't telling us

Are you operating as a team? If the initial 600 is a one shot deal and you're going out on your own afterwards then no he wouldn't be entitled to anything. Presume he feels that he's contributing in some manner to the play after you burn through the first 600 and is basing his number on what he sees as his contribution to the total bankroll

Just play on your own with the 1k

          Friends contribution $300
          OPs contribution $1300
          Total $1600
          300/1600=18.75%

OP, his calculations are correct. His share of the total bankroll is 18.75%. He doesn't get to adjust switch though.

Explain to him that that if he wants the $1000 included with the initial bankroll, that's fine it's included. But that means that his share is 18.75% from the minute they step into the casino, regardless of what happens to the initial 600.

Alternatively, he can take 50/50 on the 600. But when it's gone, it's gone.

^^ +1 to all of what Mellor said.

There's a couple of assumptions from the OP though. It seems like the roll is not completely gone, and you're just topping it up? If it's busto, why do you need your friend?

There's also an angle here too. What if you put 3k in to top it up, and continued to play at the same stakes. Then your friend is only entitled to 9%.

Give us a better understanding of the deal, and you'll get a better answer.

if something does not suit you, it is better to change your partner for the game, and choose the one with whom you will be more confident.

It`s better not to play poker and online gambling.

I think BlackJack is the most interesting card game you can play in a casino. I watched a movie when I was a child about this game and I was fascinated by it. The movie was about a guy at a High School that wanted to make some money for college, he was very smart and started to play BlackJack. I was very interested in this game and I also started to watch casino games on TV. After years when I got 18 my, I went to a casino with my friends and the first time in my life played BlackJack in a real casino. I remember that night because it was very wonderful.
