losing player but want to move up to 50plo?

I've played 22k hands this month of 20plo at a loss but at a profit of 4.21bb/100 (2.1ptbb)
when i take into account rakeback (50%) SEE GRAPH

i would like to play 50plo next month and my aim would be to work on my game from there if i could reasonably expect that i was goin to breakeven when i include getting rakeback at the end of next month.

is this advisable?.....( or should i just be concentrating on getting a positive winrate at 20 before 50?, also to what extent, if any, will the move up affect things like the amount raked-i assume it doesnt just increase by a factor of 5/2)

note: bankroll is not an issue for me at 50plo
(i am more concerned with playing at stakes that mean more to me yet not playing at a level out of my comfort zone while all the time be working on my game with the aim to eventually be playing at higher levels)

    any advice or suggestions appreciated

I dont play omaha cash games online but if your finding it difficult to beat the stake your currently playing I cant imagine moving up is generally advisable. Its kind of a simplistic view I know but its tried and tested.

It does not matter how rolled you are if your a losing player you will eventually go broke.
Some of the questions you asked about hands tells me your not ready for plo50.
IF you cant beat 20plo what makes you think you can beat 50plo?

Keep posting hands and asking questions though
If you dont have to withdraw your bankroll and your winning it will keep growing allowing you to maybe take some shots at 50plo whilst still playing mostly 20plo.

Be patient Rome was not built in a day and do it the the right way dont be jumping up where they respect your raises

This is a good thread imo. I think you should just do the maths really if you think your winrate with rb will be a lot more at 50plo then do it.

If there is not a big difference then stay at 20plo. Im a winner at 50nl over a good sample yet at one stage this month i was down 30 buyins and plo has higher variance and adding to that you may be a losing player. Just realise you could be easily down 2k in a month if you run real bad.

Beat 20nl over a decent sample (without RB) then move up.
I think the standard at 50 will be much higher

imo, if you're winning due to rb, you're still making money from the game.

However, I'm not 100% sure, but I'd imagine there would be a fairly sizeable gap between 20PLO and 50PLO. There seems to be certain steps in the cash game ladder with the skill gap is most noticeable. 50NL, 400NL, 1000NL and 5000NL all seem to be the starting stakes of 'the next level'. Obviously I probably couldn't prove any of what I've said mathematically or theoretically, so take with a pinch of salt, just what I would think is the perceived principle and what I've noticed in my experience.

I don't play this game but my friend always like to play this game. It's quite interesting but hard to play...

I'd wait til you were winning at 20plo, and a much bigger sample size. plo has such sings it's unreal, I don't find 50 too hard to play but the swings can get to you...if they are down that is!

22k hands really isn't much of a sample size at all, if you feel you're playing well and improving by talking strat and you're somewhat overrolled, I say move on up!

seeing that roll isnt a problem for you at 50
why not take a 5 buyin shot..
play 1 table at a time and see how you go
if you bust the 5 b.i then move back down and the experience will stand to you when you are ready to move up proper.

Bustamoves, get coaching, that would be my advice, it should help you easily beat 50plo. It is worth the price you pay for coaching when you compare win rate and rakeback for future.

I would not play again untill I was coached, I have strong opinion on this from expeirence.

sounds good alright, there seams to be a lot of u.s. (ex)players coaching these days, since most,if not all of the players out there now at this level are non u.s. players, would it be better to be coached by a european,or am i just stupid by thinking this?
