Heh - that's one of those spots where the villain knew he was behind when he called - except he wasn't.

Down to 30K after losing flopped bottom 2 to top 2.

Yeah me too, felt confident at last break. Do you think there is a better line i could have taken with the hand that crippled me? Bet/call looks much better to me now.

Hey TJ - You said it was a good table. You got 3 callers preflop - was that the norm?

On the flop you're getting 3:1 on the call and you probably don't have any FE for the ck-r, so I'd probably just call and reeval the turn.

A lot of it could be player dependant, but i'd probably bet the flop myself. As played i prefer a c/r than a c/c as Oz says. There's a half chance he has a small pair or AK/AQ no suits and may let it go when you shove seeing as you were the preflop aggressor.

Yeah but ...

The villain is getting 20:13 on the call after the ck-r. Do you lay down 66 or 77 in that spot? If TJ has an overpair, it's a pretty weird way to play it, given that there are 4 players and the board has a FD on it. Maybe he can have AA with that line, but that's a dangerous check with any other overpair. Against TJ's line, I'm nearly snap calling any pocket pair.

Anyway, I think c/c > fold > c/r

edit: on 46K at the 20:00 break. Blinds 1k/2k/200. One time!

Thats why i prefer a lead out on the flop. Its how i'd play an overpair so i wouldn't like to polarise my range. I'd just hate calling the flop and having to fold the turn a lot of the time

No it wasnt the norm to get this many callers, i expected the BB to call alot but he was weak post flop, leading with made hands and c/f most of the time. Thinking about it now maybe a call would be best as the btn was v.nitty and i wouldnt expect him to take a stab with air so i dont really have much f/e.

in that hand wit the FD and overs

i think that B/C >C/C> C/F> C/R

there are so few hands that make a c/r credible

anyways ul have to win your races

Good effort by both you and tony
