Issues are:
1. Starting pay is brilliant
2. Progress is largely automatic rather than performance based as in all public sector
3. Max pay is lowish
4. There's no Dublin premium

A move to address 3 and 4 would seem to be useful, but the campaign is really all about raising the already highly generous 1.

We know 1 is generous objectively as undergrads normally start at way less than that and don't have automatic pay progression irrespective of good times or bad or individual performance

Point 4 needs to addressed across various occupations and other structures such as the student grant scheme. The idea that a person who from a socioeconomic background that allows them access to a grant should be awarded the same amount in Dublin as somewhere such as Tralee, Letterkenny or Sligo for example seems unfair.

Also on a previous topic on carbon footprint, I spotted an Irish company is making strides:

Been rediscovering a bit the comforting joy of an old-school Goodfellas style pizza. Absolutely zero pretensions about being wood-soaked or stone-baked or gem-infused. Just a big lump of bread with stuff on top.

Yeah not having a Dublin premium is ludicrous. Talking to a doctor when I was in Uganda, and she couldn't understand why it would be a thing. Probably zero chance of it actually happening.

Everyone talking about the Toulouse backs but this game is going to be all about the Leinster forwards. We're going to put them through the meat grinder.

BP win and much cheesy surrendering.

Already can see how much of an impact James Lowe makes. He is a brilliant player for the whole energy of the team

I tihnk he is doing well, communication is quite clear and consistent on things, knows some of the players and using their names to explain whats going on etc. If he wants to add some extra showbusiness to it then so be it.

I'm a big fan of Pearce as a ref. He's consistent and clear.

Although that should almost definitely have been a penalty try for Kearney being tackled in the air. Hope the 2 points don't matter!

Surrender Monkeys a little much. They played really quite well. Defence was ridiculously good.

Extremely good Leinster performance though. Pack did all the work. Ringrose tidied up an awful lot of defensive frailties (acceptable considering the backline!) and read the game so well.

Hope McGrath's injury isn't too serious, but he looked in a v bad way.

Regarding Pearce, I only heard once the "you do your job and i'll do mine" The ruck was a disaster on both sides at times.

Ringrose did well on attack but he wasn't running those hard lines which are needed, lots of dancing sideways and then finding soft shoulder to get a metre but was a tough day for him. His defence was incredible, there was one point where he was back peddling due to be numbers down, think he retreated about 15m at same speed as they were attacking, then cracked into the ball carrier, made his tackle and up on feet.

I really enjoyed the intent of Toulouse. they are one or two players away from being world class
