tournament 10 ppl or 9 ppl

Ok guys help a bit with the issue.

    A 5 table poker room.
We agree to let 50 people to play if there are 50 players but the question is when they are getting eliminated which is better 9 player tables or 10 player tables

My logic is that the lesser the players the faster they bust out.
more the tables , more hands are being dealt
lesser the player , the hand value is changing ( for ex. AJ on 10 ppl talbe is weaker than on 9 ppl table )
The more they bust out , the faster we will open a cash game

I am asking for a college of mine who is opening a new poker room.

Me personally I prefer playing at a 9 handed table just for the comfort compared to 10 handed.

10 handed all the way thru in the casino I work at, on the premise that players and dealer have adequate space.

Love the place obv. Hate the 10 seat Final Tables though...sadly I never get to them, but still.

Just hope for a seat beside Fox, he's never in it for more than 10 minutes of the game anyway!

Could imagine a slight lack of space with Shogun around!

I don't think you should have your cash tables playing 10 handed, 9 players max.

Also if your talking about making extra revenue it would be better for you to play 8 handed as you'll have more tables open!!

I.e. 11 players one table 6 handed the other 5 handed v one table 10 handed and one person on the waiting list

Were are you opening the club by the way.

9 players! Never underestimate the comfort difference between 9 handed and 10 handed tables!

If you want players to bust out quickee from a tournament (so you can open a cash table quicker - which it sounds is what your asking) then the shorter handed it is, the faster players bust (in theory anyway). But tbh, 9 and 10 handed will make negligible enough difference wrt to how fast palyers bust so I wouldn't worry about it.
