AQ vs big stack just in the money

Not too deep in this tournament at the time of this hand but I have a huge stack. No real read on this opponent other than he had been opening quite a lot.

This is something I do on the flop sometimes. Im not sure what people think about it but I like to check back in position when Ive hit top pair as it often makes my opponent spew chips. Im not sure I like how I played this hand. Can I fold after I bet the turn? What range do you put him on when he flats my 3 bet pre? Any advice appreciated.

Well when u say whats his range thats not really for us to say to be honest, considering it's a 1$ tourney I can imagine it's quite wide, means 55,1010,AJ,A10 possibly A5 k10 and QJ are there as well I guess he can have other Ax combos which he feels could be ahead,u should really have him on a range given his tendencies so far!

I dont mind checking back in position to disguise your hand strength but in this scenario you're too shallow given the pot size, I defo continue you in that spot, If you want to.induce a small c-bet such as 13.5k would equally induce a shove by weaker hands!

I think the mistake was made on the flop but it wasn't terribly badly played either way tbh
