Trying to be socially conscientious here and although this is weird I dont want to describe them on here for a few reasons. - Suffice to say I genuinely, feel as though my body is fighting ' something ' it has not encountered before. That said also hugely aware that there is momentous pressure on the mind in moments like this, and some of what I feel might be exaggerated by the pressure cooker of the situation.

Just back from testing, you are given a number and told to go to a certain place,stay in the car and they come out and get you. Nasal and oral swab done, should have the results within 24/48 hours.

That's a major fuck up on their part if they're sending people who have just been tested home for 24/48h.thats exactly how community spreading works Ffs.

I guess the assumption is if youve been tested you know the gravity of the situation and so will isolate.

Lol. Hopefully wont be that stuck anyway. And I'm a fan of being employed so unfortunately if I'm being told to go to work I have to turn up. While you are right and I agree with you that we wont be stuck with her wages coming in, I cant just quit or lose my job because long term that's not ideal. Chatting to my manager here and he doesn't know what's gonna happen, just at the moment its business as usual.

You cancelled a trip to Europe a few years ago vs a tiny probability of terrorist activities and now you are running maybe a 1 in 300 mortality risk going to work. I'm so far away from having a go at you, and understand your situation, but really think its worth reconsidering if you are turning up to work just because you feel you are letting down people who aren't thinking about your safety.

Disappointing to see casinos still advertising poker tournaments on Facebook. Casinos are one of the worst environments along with pubs to spread this disease. I know it must be difficult for businesses who have overheads etc but this is literally the difference between life and death.

It’s going to start getting very messy for workplaces(even ones who manufacture critical products) very soon. So many more people if not catching it themselves will be living with someone Who has been tested, has it, has a non covid but similar symptom illness, have childcare issues (only 1 day of that so far, many would rely on parents if creches closed but use advice is not to) etc
Have a feeling in my place that even if commitment made to pay is made people will just stop showing up when numbers spike , which will happen this week

I've been told who that person on the recording is, my source for this is extremely reliable and has a good relationship with them.

My local casino still texting every night about cash games being on. Very disappointed but understand the difficulties for small business so not going to judge a situation I know nothing about.
