would be much more interesting to hear it from AARookies point of view as opposed to someone trying to make excuses for getting pwned into oblivion

That analysis was so good it had me sitting there reading it knowing not a fucking chance I'll ever play high stales nl online, what's the point when the game is nearly perfected. Live no problem but online, good luck!

He doesn't seem to give the chap much credit at all for the call on the river, would have liked to seen his reasoning on that

thats the thing his analyses seems too good - do you think its possible he was doing all that in real time or simply applying really excellent reasoning to something that was a bit spewy after the fact?

You're spot on Tony. I highly doubt he went through such a thought process during the hand. The analysis is very good but upon first reading I got the impression he was in love with himself. There is no questioning the guy's talent but for such a highly skilled player he isn't too critical of himself in my view.

I remember posting something similar earlier in the year when people were drooling about a Girah blog where he dissected two hands he'd played.

How long do you guys spend studying to even have some of that stuff in your head? Thanks for killing any dream I ever had of playing good poker

Good luck to you all and Merry Christmas!

Ye obviously he's broken down his thought process precisely in this, but it can still be his general line. Like he goes into serious detail about his betsizing read on the flop, but as he's seen it before it's instantly registers as polarised - then he thinks what he does on the turn in this situation, and it appears callings the best option. I doubt he's thinking exact figures at the time but you can still have a rough guide whats profitable.

                    Anyway, interesting read, cheers
