apache gold won nicely last time out in Gowran Park staying on well with a horse called Happy Anniversary a half lenght 2nd,that horse has gone on to win no less than 3 times since,also has very good jockey booking with Heffernan on board for this small stable

irish trainer john Shanahan has three horses running in Hamilton today,lady jock looks like the most likely winner,has only ever raced in ireland before,also a nibble in the market this morning

no joy with the each way double with Apache Gold & Lady Jock failing to land a blow however Harasiya was very impressive,was well backed all day and went off the 11/8 fav,she beat some very good horses in this group 3 with the minimum of fuss,really quickened up when murtagh asked the question.john oxx isn't too sure about how she'll handle good ground,if she does,she'll be some horse

not much happening in ireland today,just the one meeting in Kilbeggan.in the bumper(9.00) i'm going for Kilbrew Lady,had a look back at its last race in limerick this morning,and a lot to like about this horse,stayed on well when given a lot to do,also 2nd in that race went on to win since so the form lines not the worst just got the last of the 6/1 with 365,seems to have a lot of money coming for this with most firms going 5/1 and a few going as low as 4/1

Kilbrew Lady didn't look up to much tbh,had a good look at this bumper this morning and went for kilbrew lady over the fav thinking there might be a little value to be got,not sure if there was and have to look at this as a blunder on my part.Caim Hill won well in the end,was as big as 10/1 this morning,got on at 13/2 and ended up with a sp of 11/2,still a return of 10.13 points(rounded down to 10 points)so a profit of four points on the day

Everything Zain ran very well but found one two good, Lacarmic again ran well but was no match what so ever with the winner,still going to keep the horse for the tracker,think it will pick up something at sometime,Dougal Philps was very well backed from 2/1 into 4/6 and hacked up,Lady Fame didn't seem to get the distance for some reason

in the 6.55 Wooly Tom@ 7/4,hacked up last time when rated 86,(did very little before hand)is now rated 97,could very well be more to come imo


in the 205 Tipperary,going for Cape Of Approval ,@11/8 was very well backed last time before finding one two good at the curragh,should get the job done today

lol cheers, not too sure about premium tipping line rate,i'll leave a tin can at the door for ya(give a little,till help a lot)a little unlucky not to land a biggie with shelford,but came up against a better horse,simple as that.the star of the show has to be wooly tom,horse should have been odds on the way it won.Grafelli battled hard to win and Russian War won well,could be a little more to come from that one,over all a return of 22.25 points,so not too bad,could have been a whole lot better...but sur them the joys.

in the 8.20 Musselburgh 8.20 going for Queen Grace@ 11/1,mike browne who owns and trains the horse has taken it over here,i would suppose to find some decent ground.had a good win in Tipperary on good/firm over distance in may off 68(with 5 lbs ex) went up by 8 after and finished 4th on soft/heavy in the curragh.is today off 76 (with 7 ex).the draw from four seems ok,(draw 8 the best,with stall four second best with a few others)a very competitive race but at the odds,i'll give it a spin.

in the 5 o clock bangor,going for Fairly Definite@ 10/3,trained by paul flynn in ireland,has some half decent form and has A.P. MC booked.

in sligo Patrickswell @ 12/1,the outsider of lot but is off a very decent mark rated 73 (with 10 lbs ex hugely important).the trainer is quoted as saying he needs good ground but has won on soft a number of times including a few weeks ago when holding Battleroftheboyne over 5 on heavy,what we get here is patrickswell leading and out staying the rest,with the 10 lbs ex and the odds of 12/1 i'll give it a whirl


in brighton 3.50 Methayel @ 8/1 is the one i'm going for in this very competitive handicap,has won four times in all,three of those wins were in brighton,all over a mile.but has never won when rated 73 plus(75 for this)and this is over 7f but does seem to have a good draw in 13 and obviously likes the track which is a big plus when racing in brighton.

john mc connell is bringing two horses over from ireland to newcastle,both i think are worth looking at

in the 3.10 Phebes Wish@ 4/1 is in the form of his life at the moment with two wins from the last three,and finished second of 70,(todays rating)last time on heavy ground,the ground tomorrow is good good/soft should suit the horse better according to the trainer.

in the 4.10 Passion Planet@ 13/2 has never raced over this distance,but the trainer has entered the horse over 1m6f twice in the last few weeks,only to be withdrawn due to the soft going which is a plus for tomorrow,but did finish second off 61 over 1m4f on good/firm and is tomorrow off 58,seems to want 1m4f on decent ground for the horse and is obviously willing to travel to find it.

a fiver yankee for a total of 55 euro,or a .5 of a point for a total of 5.5 points for the purpose of the log,which will win a handy 35(ish) grand if they all happen to win

withdrawn late enough might be worth keep a eye on it the next time it turns up.inspection at Gowran Park at 11 am.will be doing well to get this one going today.the irish trainers must be sick of the poor ground all summer over here,could be worth looking at english trained horses racing in ireland,at the very least they'll be race fit from running on decent ground,cant really say that about the local horses at this stage.Nicholls trained Inxile in tipp last week a good example.
