I slow down on the turn and look to fill up I think. Fold river too.

I think raising the turn is a great move. Should shake out the str8 draws (so much for that plan ) + we know we have the best draw if not the best hand still. Calling on the river is, at worst, a micro mistake. Folding the winner would be a tremendous mistake.

In limit, don't look to save a bet in a huge pot. Yeah, you're nearly always behind, but you'd be amazed at the hopeless bluffs that will get tried sometimes.

Simple pot odds. What's the chance the hero has the best hand on the river? In NL, breakeven percentage you need is often on the order of 20-33%. In limit, it's not unusual to be around 5-10%. In this particular case, it's about 4%. Is top set the best hand 4% of the time in this spot?

Look, sorry to beat a dead horse, but the guy called 4 bets preflop with J5. Do you give this sort of player credit for having top set beat >96% of the time when he leads the river? He can't have 2 pair? One pair? Busted flush draw? A hi?

Yeah but we dont have that read when the hand starts. Obv calling isn't a big mistake but I think folding is marginally better
                SPOILER

I agree and disagree with both Zuutroy and Oz.

I slow down on the turn, but i call the river.

I don't like raising the turn, because i don't want to call a 3bet/4bet with QQ there, but i'm happy to see if i spike the river.

I couldn't fold this river. We have a pretty strong hand and out opponents wont always have us beat. There's a high percnetage that there's a flush/straight out there but we'll notice that hammer6pack called the river and he couldn't beat the straight so we're ahead of him.

If ritamon checks, hammer6pack bets and we fold, that will be one of the 4% times we fold the winning hand. Espeically at $1 level, i'm aways calling the river with a hand as strong as QQQ

i am surprised this thread has got so many responses,i think even tho this was only a $1 tourney even if it had been $33 tourney i wouldnt have folded the river due to the fact it was 40 to call to win 1000+ pot .i may of only had a small percentage change of winning the pot with QQQ but realistically i personally could never fold that in limit on the river.i appreciate all the advice

looking forward to donking flushdraw/zuutroy tomorrow in the mixed cash in voodoo

Damn I gave away a sick read that I'll fold a set for 1bet on the river!
