Does the 3% go directly to the dealers? Is it instead of normal wages or in addition to it? Asking as a potential player.

Sadly it's effectively extra Reg not a tip or extra pay :-(

Is that not what the reg is for?
Id sooner support any event other than the celtic poker tour who used to take over half the prize pools for themselves due to ignorance from players
As a player all I see is promoters getting greedier and greedier.
The winamax the rake was capped at 15euro that's fine then a service charge of a euro on top every pot .
Just say the reg is 65 which it is.
The regency is so grim it would want to be about 2% reg to attract players.

I think sickpuppy must be very old as certainly nothing like that has happened in the last 10 years and Celtic Poker is under new management but I suppose some people just talk about whatever suits their agenda.

Yes, but is that 3% extra than the dealers would have received anyway? What is different about that 3% than the 10% already taken? It seems like just a way to charge extra rake whilst slightly misleading people. Will there be a booking fee?

Sickpuppy is 100% correct. Back in the day CPT was an absolute cowboy operation that absolutely raped the prizepools.

I think they are now under new management or owners and that's great but I am sure they only improved as players became more aware and had other options. It wasn't from the goodness of their hearts.

That was a completely different operation.

For the last 5 years or so they have been running decent structured guaranteed events. And if fairness they have the bottle for large guarantees that don't always come off but always get paid.

At the moment the games in the Green Isle and Clonmel Park etc are some of the best around, and extremely well run.

Yeah, the green isle tournaments are by far the best value mid buyin tournaments in Dublin.
