When I lived in Belgium I had a few chicken fillets that I never cooked so put them in the bin. Left the bag on the balcony (in summer). Forgot bin day and went home for a week. Horror movie stuff when I got back.

Groomsmanning at a wedding soon. Is it a case of just giving the standard present amount?

A mate of mine used to live in Smithfield years ago, really nice appartment with a nice balcony at the back of it.

They got lazy and instead of putting the bins down every week, they used to put them out on the balcony.

When he was moving out, there was about 40 black sacks of bin rubbish that had to be moved from the balcony down to the bins in the carpark. That was proper horror movie stuff, between the smell and the juices flowing out of them, Jesus Christ...

We ended up filling the lift with them, hitting the button for basement and then running down the stairs to meet them in the car park. I hoped that nobody else called the lift on the way down, for their sake

He is (was) absolutely huge in the movie business. Possibly one of the most important/influencial producers for the last 20-30 years. He could make / break your career in a heart beat.

There is an excellent documentary called Overnight which is not about him but does feature him and the power he had, great little doc.

Would think a groomsman is expected pop up with something a bit more fancy than the standard deuce.

On the wedding theme, gf has a friend getting married in a few weeks. She has asked her to do the wedding cake. She agreed and she's doing it for free. Assume we don't have to give a present also? I've met the couple once and they were both hammered, I'll know nobody at the wedding, all her school mates and I don't really wanna give the cunce a pressie.

No need for pressie in that case.

Weddings where you know nobody often turn out to be great.

Thanks. Need to convince herself!

Ah yeah. Not worried about knowing nobody, was at an afters a few weeks ago and actually had a good time. Sure you'd get chatting to the people at your table anyway. I'm sure I won't be the only bored boyfriend there

It's a trap. Micknail may survive it but it doesn't mean you will.

Is that Louis CK thing legit? I wouldn't have thought it. He seems quite genuine. Did hear some bad things about the guy who plays Ari Gold in Entourage.

Not quite sure what the Woody Allen thing is? There was a whole lot of crazy allegations made by his wife after he divorced her, but thought they were accepted as nonsense. Plus him marrying his stepdaughter seems strange on paper, but that is a story blown massively out of proportion. That she was an adult when he met her, and she was never really his stepdaughter. Strange stuff, but doesn't seem wrong. Maybe there's something else I'm missing.
