When it opened first I got sucked into a syndicate where we removed one number by perming 7 each using our own numbers. This went on for a few years before they made a balls of the game, turning it into a lottery by increasing the number of balls
Now twenty years later I still struggle to forget everyone elses numbers while mine no matter how hard I try cannot be erased.
A few weeks ago one Sunday morning 6AM news on the radio I woke in a panic after I heard all 6 numbers. turns out I'd misheard and it was only five including the bonus number.
Stupid numbers... they weren't even all primes FFS!
I really hate work syndicates! We used to do an occasional one when the lotto was big and rolling over for a week or two. But I insisted that it not become a regular thing.

Imagine being the only poor bastard not in the pot when the ship comes in?? Sick.

I actually hate when IPB does a syndicate as well as I don't play online and don't have a player transfer ability etc so I can't easily do it. If you fuckers scooped the euromillions and I missed out I'd have to give up on the internet I think....

Must have been up around 30% at some stage in last 2 years if I'm still 19.2% considering the massive difference in body shape.

also re: chins. I recently put a chin up bar on my jacks door. Every visit, pump out a rep or two. Then two reps or three etc etc. In 6/7 weeks you'll be flying with them.
Well I'm going to get the Dexia scan done in UCD and get a definitive answer.

I was under the illusion that I was around 35% before but based on my net weight loss and increasing muscle mass it was more like 40% It seems unreal tbh.

      195lb now at 6ft 3 with a 16" collar, 32" waist and a medium to large frame.

Edit: I have my own chin up arrangement at home and Sportsco have a great setup. My goal is at least 8 in a row and I'm sure I'll get there in time. I'm in no rush.

Anyway enough diet talk before we p1ss people off even more. If anyone has a hypnotherapy suggestion please let me know.

the rigger, when you're emailing them about the discount, could you ask them if I would get two dinners if I buy two tickets for one night?
Is that how you crash a wedding? yes it is, Bionic Barry, yes it is.

I just came on to express my displeasure at one of our own playing lotto plus.

            I'm ashamed.
I hold silver in tit for tat, and I love you for that

You always go top class sir.

Here you go. Dr Buckley is the main man. I've been going to him since 2001. Very professional setup and in and out with no fuss provided you don't need a lie down and a 7up like me!!

You could always hit a casino afterwards as well.

Just can't stop myself from effectively fainting (obv told the doc in advance so I was lying down and didn't actually go unconscious). Anyone tried hypnotherapy or some other solution to get over a pretty bad blood phobia?

It's actually gotten a lot worse over the years......
Is it the sight of blood that you faint at or the taking of it? I faint when I get bloods taken. Iv no problem with the sight of blood but whenever a vein gets stuck by blood pressure drops to my boots and I pass out. I dont think its a big problem tbf. If its just the sight of blood you faint at you could always try closing your eyes

Cool beans on the full health screening too I think its something everyone should get done every couple of years

I never look at the blood and I talk to distract myself.

I think it's more of a blood pressure thing though. I seem to react to that feeling of being drained as it were.

Surely something closer then that? The Markiewicz would be closer but not in the same league as Sportsco. You could try it on payg basis to see if it works for you.

Teresa might have a better suggestion.

The idea is that a drop in blood pressure upon seeing blood could confer an advantage, people who faint have an overly developed reaction in the same vein (hohum).

I used to go to the one in the Maldron Hotel on Cardiff Lane, purely for the pool but the perving from the water into the gym area was acceptable

The landlord sent some old guy around yesterday to fix my heating and for some reason he kept calling me Pat. I never bothered correcting him because well I've been called worse things. Anyway he's back this morning and walked in "Morning Pat, it is Pat isn't it?" So the game was up and I told him my name was actually Davepoke/her. He went on up the stairs to get in the attic then and 2minutes later shouted down "Hey Pat where'll I find a socket up here?"

                                        I'm certain he's trolling me.

My GF is a member of that gym (we live about 90 seconds walk away), so I've been a good few times on guest passes and so on. There is this one lady bodybuilder, who is now giving classes on something in there, who is almost unbelievably muscular for a woman. She's a real freak - if you're in the pool and she is pumping iron, you just can't help but stare. She isn't just extremely defined, she actually has massive muscles, I'd be no expert on what is possible with or without steroids but it doesn't seem very natural! It is an extremely unattractive look to my eyes, but I guess she likes it, and there must be some men who are into it as well.

Its a theory that I disagree a lot with tbh. I can see where the basis of it comes from it makes sense that upon suffering an injury we would want to reduce intra venous pressure so as to limit blood loss. However if we really did suffer an injury the sympathetic nervous system (fight flight fright) system should be activated to get us the fuck away from immediate danger before any drop in blood pressure should be seen.

I think its more to do with baro receptors in the aorta. Subconsciously we anticipate the feeling of a needle so our BP rises significantly and heart rate slows to keep everything in balance. Upon getting the injection we realise things arent that bad and immediately relax which causes the vessels to immediately dilate faster than heart rate can increase so with a lack of blood going to the brain we pass out and come back around when the heart has had a chance to catch up (you should only be out for a few seconds)

pointless info but may be of interest to someone

Some of the pre show footage and awards from the 2012 Irish Poker Awards, hadn't actually intended on videoing the ceremony but some of it was just too funny...

Seems to have mold growing on it even though best before date is a billion years in the future. That's strange? I'm drinking it anyway as moldy caffeine >>>> no caffeine, but never seen that before. Hopefully its like a fine cheese.

Maldron Hotel is a decent cardio gym, albeit I had a membership and only ever went twice. The pool is good but I didn't like the changing rooms and they didn't really have enough of a weights section to be of use to me.

I had one of those health screenings a few months back as well (may have posted in my log at the time) was more expensive than V4V at €250 all-in but included a lot of "stuff" that I'm sure was beneficial.

                                                            Prostate cancer screening

All told I was slightly low in Vit D, slightly high in cholesterol and had a risk of a touch of gout.

I definitely think it's worth the cost to get one done every couple of years to track how you're getting on.

Just can't stop myself from effectively fainting (obv told the doc in advance so I was lying down and didn't actually go unconscious). Anyone tried hypnotherapy or some other solution to get over a pretty bad blood phobia?

It's actually gotten a lot worse over the years......
You will have to be very lucky to find a hypnotherapist who will successfully help you with this. You would pretty much have to find one who a) did training with me and b) listened, understood, and studied the protocol I explained for curing blood injection injury phobia fainting.

You see almost every hypnotherapist is used to dealing in relaxation as a technique, but that is contraindicated in this instance as relaxation drops blood pressure - you actually want to tense up instead to keep blood pressure from dropping as that prevents enough oxygen reaching the brain.

Of all the "psychological" disorders which exist this is one of, if not the, most curable. The protocol is called applied tension and was created by Lars Goran Ost. I mentioned it here within the past month. It's not rocket science, check this very short description out:

                                                                                      1. It was accidental with a number of players tangled up
                                                                                      2. The player that was hurt was only just post op and had fresh stitches that were ripped out
                                                                                      3. It was a retaliation to being struck

You are highly unlikely to have either if you are asymptomatic and dont have a history of chronic diarrhea. The malabsorbtion diseases just seem to be in fashion at the moment. Haemocromotosis will/should be picked up in a family history as it is hereditary

I haven't a bet on yet, I keep thinking that Romney is going to make a gigantic gaffe but time is running out.

He writes in such a way that the first line is read from left-to-right, the second line; right-to-left; the third line; left-to-right; the fourth line, right-to-left; and so on. He says this causes less strain on the eyes and utilizes the left and right brain equally owing to the use of spatial and linear perception in sequence. He prefers drawing with a ballpoint pen on archival paper. There are nearly 100 volumes of notebooks to date.[8]

Eugene eats every other day. He says there are numerous reasons for this; it's an easy way to control one's weight (Eugene is competitive boxer), he consumes half the amount of natural resources from the planet, his organic waste is reduced by 65% (Ecological reasons). It creates much less friction and strain on one's structure and joints (Physiological reasons). There is a noticeable increase in clarity and energy (Productivity reasons). He saves 1100 hours a year, which can now be used for productive work. Laboratory animals on such calorie restrictive diets have been known to live up to 50% longer lives (Longevity reasons). He believes that this will reduce and/or eliminate Diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, cancer and other maladies (Medical reasons).[1]

If he can sleep longer, he will. His emphasis on sleep is the knowledge that the body, the heart and the brain, need rest to be fully efficient. He believes that if the body is under rigorous training, then it must repair its muscle fibers and nerves, or risk injury. Through 20 years of Olympic level gymnastics training and 6 years of World Championship level amateur boxing, Eugene has had almost every part of his body injured. Now he avoids injury conscientiously.[24]

He does not wear his own designs when working in field on a construction site, during boardroom meetings or at athletic competitions (to minimize distractions). Dr. Tsui is fond of capes—he's designed 6 of them—and wears them; and Mongolian/Russian military boots. He designs everything from sunglasses to motorcycle uniforms to photovoltaic suits. He's won USA grand prizes for his clothing designs and works with a master tailor in China to create them.[8]

This went on for a few years before they made a balls of the game, turning it into a lottery by increasing the number of balls

Stupid numbers... they weren't even all primes FFS!

Pretty skint till payday, was on my way to work and only had time to stop at a shop that doesnt have the lotto slips, only lets you get quickpicks. This meant I wasnt able to play my usual 2 lines I have played for 10 years. Boom Match 5 in Lotto plus 2. Would have been E250 which would have been sweet. Not too tilted though, could have been a lot worse. Match 6 would have destroyed me.
I'll never miss another draw again, will prob move to playing online instead of live and increase the stake as i'm gettiing close.

I cant help feeling that if I had actually ended up filling one of the slips it would have had a butterfly effect, maybe causing the gormless fk from KPMG to move differently in the studio and change the airflow, letting me bink all 6.
