    Seeing an opponents card

Live FO in local casino (latter stages)

    Hijiack raises
I flat BTN with ATs (if I remeber correctly)
    SB shoves

I'm foldign 100%, but as the hijack is tanking the SB re checks his cards and I see one card -A(not deliberaltey he practically held them up to his face)

I beleive I'm meant to announce that I've seen it but I didn't bother (as I was folding); hijack called it off with AQ and split versus AQ fwiw

    a) should I speak up regardless and why?
    b) if I speak-up what happens next?

The reason I'm against saying anything in this case or in the case where soemone not in the hand at all sees a card(s) is that while you may have unwititngly gained a tiny bit of knlowledge surely that is less important than a hand playing out in the way it would have normally?

    c) lets I have AA and I see K: am I still meant to say soemthing, as I'm essentially letitng him off for a mistake simialr to exposing your hand intentionally?

Legally you're under no obligation. Morally you can speak up If you wish.

I would recommend after the hand is over to have a quiet word and tell him to be more careful

In this situation you would be causing more problems by speaking up during the hand. I've seen many awkward situations cos some do gooder thinks he may have seen a card flash. Then it becomes this whole big thing. Now someone may or may not have to turn a card over. Do it after the hand.

It is up to the holder of the cards to protect his hand. If you see them accidently or otherwise you are under no obligation to say anything. Good form to mention it to the player or staff tho for future occurrences. No one likes to be in that position where they can't help but look.
