Might be interested in taking cash action if you're thinking of going down that road?

Hi Paul,

The Norwegian's play the same side events as everyone else.

The structure's have been the same for last 5 years (Riga and Dublin).

You have to remember each day there is a New Norwegian championship event been played and as a result they don't to be playing until the early hours of the morning on a side event.

We have 3 x €350 side events, when they were added to the schedule I was given the mandate of....

250-350 players with no later then 3/4am finish, but ideally 2am finish as 2 of these event are played on Day 1 A and Day 1 B of the Main Event to the players who play these tournaments would coming back to play the Main Event the next morning.

Regarding structures of the Championship event ect. The JP Poker Masters has a far superior structure to every event on the schedule with the one exception been the Main Event.

€800 Main Event - 60 Mins with 30k Chips
€550 JP Poker Masters - 45 Mins with 20k Chips
€1100 Mixed 8 Game - 60 Mins with 10k Chips
€800 PLO - 45 Mins with 15k Chips
€300 Ladies - 40 Mins with 20k Chips
€2000 HighRoller - 30 Mins with 30k Chips
€1100 Heads-Up - 30 Mins with 15k Chips
€500 Limit Hold'em - 30 Mins with 10k Chips
€400 6-Max NLH - 15 Mins with 30k Chips

As you can see the structures in the Championship events are not much better then the side events.

As mentioned in my last post the structures were discussed on Donkr.com and this is what they want.

This is be far the biggest poker festival in Europe and probably the 4th largest World wide in terms of volume after the WSOP, Aussie Millions and LA Poker Classic and is the only festival which has seen an increase in the Main Event every year for the past 14 years so they are doing something right.

Yea I suppose I can understand it from that point of view but wish the clock was lowered rather then level's taking out so it's more clear to us what were buying into before hand or noted or something. I never played these sides before and presumed the levels were running on a standard to most 1day daily game's you run yourself in the club and was never told otherwise by anyone who played last year so I didn't know. Prob looking too much from my point of view, understand a bit better now this is not an Irish event and it is to suit the Norwegian players so can totally get with that with all the events they have to contend with. Gl with it not that you need it see you up there. Paul

Hi Chris,

Sorry just seeing this now.

Last year the Highroller got 32 players.

The side events have been up on average 15-20% on last year.

When I got in yesterday to open registration at 11:30 in the morning, I think there were about 8 games going. Six that had gone all night and a couple had started that morning.

I think there was close to 40 tables when registration was closing last night around 12.

And as KP said, it will only get busier as the week goes on.

Preregistration with seat allocation for the JP Masters will open today.

I suggest waiting until after 4pm though because the Norwegian Main Event 1A starts at 2pm today and there will probably be queues from 12 until 3.

Currently 10 cash tables up and running.

The 4pm €350 NLH 8-Max tournament could have limited seating due to the Norwegian Championship Main Event been very busy.

Reg for this event will open at 3pm.
