You obviously know your stuff as demonstrated in above but I think your analysis is a little skewed. That affects how people bet.
He said he'd back him at 5s as in he'd feel he is still overpriced at 5s. So his price hasn't changed. The debate is welcomed but your argument is weak.

And that's completely fair enough. I just wanted to give a counter argument on my opinions of the dogs chances. He is a sensation. Has a great chance. I hope he does well (but mot as well as my selections! ) I'd just be a little mote wary than you. Hope it's a great derby and I hope you enjoy it. If Nidgey wins it, I hope he does it in style and I'll be applauding him if he does.

fwiw I think he will be a lot higher than 7/2 after the 3 rounds of qualifying but in saying that I still think 12/1 was good value, 10/1 would be dodgy without the money back but 5/1... not with a barge pole! You had me up to that point

I love how everyone just lumps on a dog that most of us know absolutely nothing about. Such degeneracy.

I would class this as the complete opposite of degeneracy.

Just so you can know a little bit more (go to 2.26). This is the fastest run of the year over the standard 525 yard trip in Shelbourne Park (he also holds the 2nd fastest plus the fastest 2 runs over the Derby trip of 550 yards).

As an FYI 0.07 seconds equates to a length.
In 2014 for the 525 Nidge has done 2800 and 2809, the next 2 fastest were 2821 and 2825 both by dogs who miss the Derby thru injury.
For the 550 Nidge has done 2932 (the 4th fastest run ever in only his 4th race), the next fastest this year by a contender in the Derby is 2959.
