It's a pity the IWF is no more and if it is goes ahead, the lack of news about it is bad form.

Fair play for getting something set-up Fionn... I was wondering how long it would take before someone tried to replace these dates in the calendar. I thought JP or Stephen would have being quicker off the mark.

The only negative, I would rather an hour clock or 30k starting stack for a 500 game and let the final table run into Monday if the field is big enough.... also why not hold more side events on the Monday as it's also a bank holiday.

GL with the event, I will defo be playing unless the IWF is back.

Think 40-45mins is fine for a 500 game. Perhaps 1hr levels day2+ ?

is IWF not going ahead??

25k starting stack and 45mins day 1, 1hr day 2 would be ideal structure imo. Little more than 20k/45mins is preferable for a 500 Main Event imo. Nice to see a PLO side event also.

No IWF this year. Presumin its cz of the field size dropping all the time.

I would agree with what you are saying regarding the structure. No reason why the structure you suggested cant be applied considering a 60 reg fee.

I do like the look of this event though. Hope it goes well.

Terence is going to run a players league over the next 20 weeks or so at his Wednesday night game in The Stand, Roscrea. It was supposed to start this Wednesday night, but due to a party being held there on that night he has to move it to Thursday night for this week only. He hopes to get out at least 2 tickets over that time. Game starts at 9.15pm sharp. Should we open a separate charter for it Fionn?

So any club, OR ORGANISATION, can run a sat and can win a 2k bonus for supplying the main event winner? If I run a few sats in a local for this then I would qualify?

The Stand, Roscrea's Wed night game has now been switched to every Thursday night, with a starting time of 9.30pm sharp. Week 4 of our poker league, with hopefully 2 tickets for the Spooktacular main event up for grabs at the end of it. 20+5, with one rebuy/addon for a tenner.

Satellites!

Several clubs will be running sats for this game over the coming months...
The Gold Rush Card Club, Cork will have 15 entries from sats.
The Westbury Card Club, Malahide will be doing 4 sats.
The Penthouse Casino, Swords will be doing 4 sats.

As soon as the venues have structured and dated the sats we will list them. A facebook page is being created to update daily where live sats are taking place.

If any venue organisation is interested in running sats we will advertise it, get promo material down to it and get players to come alone and support it.

DON'T FORGET - The organisation/venue that sats the winning player into the game will receive 2,000 as a cash prize.

Contact Phil Baker if interested...... 086 3109093

Poker league still running in The Stand Pub, Roscrea every Thursday night at 9.30 every week. Getting between 14 to 20 players most weeks, so should be good for 2 tickets at the end of it. 20+5 to play, with one rebuy/add on for 10.

That's great... don't forget to get those rooms booked. It's not the usual "get in there early or else" but a legitimate limited availability of rooms......

If any player(s) wants to organise a sat in their club(s) we will assist with promotion and get a few bodies to it!
