A fun new way to punt on the Irish Open 2014!

Hi everyone,

I work for Stakes&Ladders. (www.stakesandladders.com).

We offer simple and fun pool-based online betting games to play with others users, not against the house. The sum of the players’ entry fees (minus a small admin fee) is paid out in prizes.

The concept of our site is to offer a different type of betting on sports compared to traditional betting with the bookies or Betfair etc. Betting this way is more interesting and involved, and you get more sweat for your bet.

We are going to be running pools on the Irish Open. If you want to be included in the pool or know of any players you would definitely want to back, we'd really appreciate hearing from you. Please PM me or comment with your full name and we'll get you involved.

If you have any questions, comment or ideas... please post and I will answer them asap.

Many thanks and good luck!

Currently our Services are available only in the UK and User Accounts must have an identifiable address in the UK

Not much use to most people here then

Hi Mugsy,

That's a bit embarrassing however it's no longer the case. We are fully licensed to accept Irish player. Come and give us a spin!

hi guys i have been one of the guinea pigs for this site for last 1year and a half now and its now come on line and i think the guys and dolls here would like it .

its partly owned by neil channing so is well run like all the stuff he does and there is also a 5 pound free entries to start with no strings attached which is handy and for those good enough with there answers they could win loads with never having to lodge money .

wishing neil and his partners the best with this and hope a few ipm members make loads from it

I do know a few people involved in this site and they're good people, hoping it's a success for them.

Interesting enough concept, I just joined up now and it took me a couple of minutes to get a feel for the interface. It is pretty smooth and easy to use once you get a feel for it. You get 500 pts straight into you account which is equal to 5 free and can play any of the pools straight away. Definitely worth taking the look, only takes a minute to set up an account.

Not a bad team to have in there. And Nicky, they got your section wrong. "Live Legends" lol, don't they know it's only side events you bring the A-game to

And yes corkie123, I gave you the referral

www.stakesandladders.com referrer sean c

i will have a look tomorrow and see if anymore did then i will post what answers i used for ye to follow or better still join and use the 5 free pounds to enter the 5 pound one yourself

Pools are filling up.. Great to see people getting involved and building a bigger sweat!

Doke - we tried our best to ensure all people mentioned in the pool will be playing. Shame about Jason . Are you getting involved? Who are your picks?

Given the gargantuan size of my ego I think I could make a case for my inclusion in ALL the categories. Yes, even ladies (was once the 3rd ranked ladies marathon runner in Ireland, behind Caitriona and Sonia).

How long do you have to be playing to be old school? I only learned the game 7 years ago.....there's 21 year olds playing longer

However, given how depressingly long it took to scroll back to my birth year when I signed up.....
