Capello Sanservo is the horse, most only went NRNB this morning as far as I could see. Into 10/1 now so getting skinny for a 3 place 15 runner affair. Anyone else have an opinion on this one?

Day 1 of the best flat card of the year.

1. I think Toranado is a point and shoot job here. This may be due to me mistakenly dismissing Verrazano or me overestimating Toranado. I expect evens to be plentiful in the morning and I will be snaffling plenty of it.

2. I said on the pod that Caprello Sansevero was overpriced and I still feel this is the case. 10/1 represents value. I am gone a little cool on Kool Kompany but am taken by The Wow Signal as an alternative. I hope Case Statement can out run his price of 50/1.

3. I am a huge fan of Shea Shea here - should have won last year where Soumi cost him victory. Comes here a fresher horse this season and his last defeat in Meydan can be easily overlooked as he was beaten by a quality set of tactics. I think the 9/2 is plenty fair and I will be having a right good EW rattle.

4. Night Of Thunder is overpriced here at 5/2 - he beat Kingman fair and square and his price is obscene. I think at worst he should be a 7/4 poke in this race.

5. I marked up Plinth last year in Galway where he got no ride off a mark of 96 from the young O'Brien girl. He runs here off 93, I have some concerns about him staying but at 12/1 I am more than happy to take my chance. Elsewhere Domination runs off the same mark as when 2nd in Galway - he looks sure to get the trip and is well worth a second look at a decent price.

6. meh

Went through the ring this evening at the Goffs london sale and fetched a handsome 1.3 million, Sheikh Fahed Al Thani buys.

Not many of the short priced favs this week that I'd be too keen on taking on, think Toronado, Kingman Treve are all high class animals. Leading Light the only one that looks a bit on the short side in the gold cup imo.

With Toronado tomorrow, as well as Ahtoug ew at 14's in the Kings Stand. Don't know if he's on the special Godolphin juices but his form went to new levels in Meydan. Was in the mix in all the big sprints during the festival including a neck 2nd in the big group 1. If he transfers that form here he should be a big contender.
