JP how come the total prize pool is always less than it should be?

May - 60 players x 65 entry should be 3,900 but there was only 3,500 in it

June - 42 players x 65 entry should be 2,730 but there was only 2,420 in it.

Surely there's something wrong here?

Does 1st have the option to take the €150 cash instead of the ticket? 7% of the prize fund going to the league + another €150 makes it very non appealing for someone who's not gonna play there regular enough to make the league.

I think like any club, he's not catering for the non-reg

But the "league" money is then used for the likes of "1,000 added" tourneys and the likes too, this is one of the main reasons im not a reg.

I thought it was much more standard to allow for league money as part of the reg fee and tickets are usually added prizes, not given in place of cash. Does nobody else agree that you enter the tournament with your cash, you should be allowed choose if you want the 150 or the ticket as part of your payout?

And also, it's a monthly tournament, not a weekly one so surely it should benefit all players as I presume it's a monthly game for the purpose of targeting more players and not just the regs

On the bolded part, he doesn't do this any more. League money is paid out to Top 3 in league & 100% of the rest goes into the combined Tournament/Cash League Final.

This is standard practice in all casinos that I know of (Fitz/Emporium etc).

As for the 150 ticket, well that's just a management decision I guess. Not particularly a fan myself either but its clearly advertised.

Hi Zero,

Sorry for late reply as I'm on holiday at the moment and don't always have wifi
access.

The league % is actually 6.5% not sure why or how it says 7%.

When we have our 1,000 Added games. That money is Added from my pocket and has nothing to do with league nothing, 100% money Added.

Re tickets it's impossible to run big guaranteed tournaments (which players all want) with out giving tickets out as the risk of overlay would be just too big and would result in less big guaranteed tournaments.

I hope this clears things up. If you have anymore questions please feel free to ask away,

JP is always upfront about deductions from prize pool including tickets given out etc.

You might not agree with him but you can not fault him for that.

The League is actually very easy to qualify.

5,000 point over 3 months.

Top 10 in all league games receive points...

1st 100 x number of players
2nd 90 x number of players
3rd 80 x number of players
...
10th 10 x number of players

Every hour playing cash games = 600 points

So could be done in 1 day
