We last ran a mixed game at the Mini WSOP 2 years ago and it only got 5 or 6 players so we pulled the plug on it last year.

Hi yes anyone who re-enters will pay the full amount.

Edit...

Hi Again,

Sorry I misread your post to read is reg fee due again.

So to clarify, anyone who re-entries will pay the full amount again including reg fee.

Ambiguous reply JP. DM asks if the re-entry is reg free and you reply "yes" and then go on to say anyone who re-enters pays the "full amount"

Perhaps you could clarify.

Hi Mick,

Sorry about that I wasn't trying to be misleading.

I misread DM post as will the reg fee be payable again.

Regarding Re-Entry Tournaments in general I'm not a fan of them.

However it is what the market wants at the moment and I do see the benefit for a player who has travelled a long way and busts out of the tournament early and wants to go again.

From my point of view there's a cost involved in every player who plays in the tournament, remember this is not a rebuy tournament were the starting chips and structure is set in a such a way that players bust out fast. There's also an opportunity cost allowing re-entries in a tournament as the player doesn't then play the side event or cash games (which is more profitable that tournament).

Our cash game rake at 5% capped at 10 is very competitive and is lower then most other games that allow re-entry with free reg.

Not sure your arguments really hold water. For a start, there is no side event on Friday evening for busto players to enter. Also, as regards structure, your Friday satellite, with a small stack and 15 minute levels is also a re-entry rather than the traditional rebuy structure for satellites.
Also, as this event is held in your regular premises with a set number of tables and probably with, mostly, your regular locally based dealers, I don't see many additional costs to justify the extra 40 juice for a re-entry.
Anyway, as discussed before, doesn't apply to me as I don't do re-entries. Not having a pop at you personally JP. Just don't agree with the concept. Poker festivals managed to thrive for years without re-entries. In the old day, we had rebuys, where required.

Hi Guys,

Spoke with Connie earlier today and I'm going to change my dates which should help both events and accommodate players wishing to play both events.

Dates will run from Tuesday 16th September to Saturday 20th September.

A couple of change will be made to the schedule most notably the Main Event will be a 2 Day event Friday 19th and Saturday 20th.

The reason for the change been the All-Ireland Football Final is on the Sunday.

I'll post up a new thread with full details of changes tomorrow.
