    Two Jack of Spades??

Before I Post this up please keep in mind this is from a friendly pub game and mistakes do happen.

During our game last week there was a 3 way all in during the last hand before the break in our game. Now the cards where turned over (the 3 hands were JJ,33 and A7) and the flop was dealt out.

Before the turn card could be dealt one of the players at the table said "he has two jacks of spades" He was correct one of the players had two jacks of spades.

I know the likelihood of this ever happening is rare but does anyone know what the rule for such a thing is or is it left to common sense?

that hand only is null and void. Everything else that happened remains.

Was in a game in a Gala casino in Nottingham when two players turned up with the nut flush, after counting the deck it was found to have 55 cards.

The ruling was everyone involved in the hand got a full refund, and all money won or lost in previous hands stood.

I think i remember you posting about this hand before. I think that's slightly different to this one as neither player was aware of the fouled cards until the the action had finished. In this hand, the guy with the 2 Jack of Spades should have spoke up at the start, and declared his hand as fouled. IMO, his hand should be ruled dead or else he should have some sort of penalty declared against him.

he could have just peeked at his cards and saw 2 black jacks, I mean if you see 2 black jacks do you really focus on the suits?
void hand, new deck, keep your eyes peeled

I genuinely feel that the player did not know he had the hand. I was at the the table and he looked shocked when someone pointed it out to him.

The action we took seems to be what is being said. We made the hand null and void, returned everyone their chips from this hand only and just sorted out all the decks at the break.

Hopefully it is something that does not come up again. You live and learn I suppose.

Thank you for all the responses.

no, his hand definetely does not play, you cant PLAY a hand with suited Jacks !

saw this once in the fitz in about 2007, where someone made a str8,stacked a guy, the guy who lost was at the top of the stairs when someone shouted, theres 2 jack of hearts, one on the board, and one that the guy who lost had in his hand, hand was void, all funds were refunded, and the guy who was "out" was back in. I was happy enough to get my small blind back !
