    all mucked cards exposed pre flop..?

    a ridonkulous piece of brain farting by dealer so this prob should/will never come up but anywho out of intrest;

    70e live freezeout 9-handed

    utg raises, couple of folds, mp calls , rest fold..

    dealer scoops up 14 mucked cards and while doing god only knows what with them, drops the lot face up (while at the same time burning the 1st card with the other hand), she quickly-ish scoops them up again. the hand continued as normal no fuss..but..

    should all 14 been shown like when 1 card is exposed to make sure both players saw them all??( could a player with 22 who just saw 2 deuces cry misdeal??)

      cant be a misdeal anyway on showing all the cards that might be a bit dodgy.

          lol. I think there is a case that the mucked cards should now be spread out face up. if there is any possibility someone got a good look at them it might be the only fair way to proceed...

            Yes, everyone has to have the same information as everyone else, so yes, spread them out there so we can all see them.

              Has the dealer got 3 hands, the deck is in one, she burns with the other and the muck cards are where?

              The dealer needs some more training as the muck cards should never leave the table until your bringing them out to wash the cards for the next hand.

              The next mistake is immediately turning the cards back over. If she leaves them the way they are then everyone see's some cards, maybe all 14, but more likely less than 14 and thats fair for everyone.

              So basically it cant be a misdeal as significant action has taken place (raise and a call with numerous folds), fairest way is to show everyone all 14cards, then deal flop and continue as normal!

                not sure exactly how she manged maybe she did have an extraneous flipper now i think of it

                do you leave the cards exposed for the whole hand to be reffered back to though or just leave them for 10 secs and let whoever has the best memory have the adv??

                  I wouldn't leave the cards exposed for the whole but for a short period of time before the next street is dealt.

                  Very similar to Stud/Razz when a player folds on 5th street his/her up cards go straight into the muck and players with better memory have a bigger edge.

                    Disagree with this.
                    Remembering cards that were shown and then mucked is an accepted part of Stud. Don't think it should suddenly be brought into a hand of Hold'em.
