Darts PL Predictions Comp - Week 3

Here's last weeks results and tables.

I didn't receive any PM's rejecting Kim Huybrechts starting with the lowest equal number of points, so we have 10 people going into round 2.

For this rounds game, can you please PM ArmaniJeans your predictions BEFORE 5pm on Thursday. That's gives everyone over 3 days to get their predictions in, otherwise I can't guarantee you that your selections will be processed. I'm in London that day or the weekend so won't be near a laptop on Thurs.

Just so that everyone doesn't play it safe and go for the bookies pick, the points for picking a correct score will be weighted as below:

6-6 = 5 points
7-5 = 4 points
7-4 = 4 points
7-3 = 5 points
7-2 = 6 points
7-1 = 7 points
7-0 = 8 points

You will score 2 points if you pick the correct selection, but failed to pick the correct score.

You also get to pick 2 bonus selections for each night from the following categories: Highest Average, Lowest Average, Most 180s, Highest Checkout

You are free to pick whichever player you want for any of the categories, but you must only pick 2. e.g.

Highest Checkout: Adrian Lewis
Most 180s: Chizzy

You will get 3 points for any correct selections from the bonus section.*

*If 2 or more players tie for the Averages (unlikely) or the high checkout, you will score the max 3 points each. If 2 or more players tie for the 180s, then the points will be divided (2 players 1.5 points, 3 players 1 point etc)

We started a week late, so instead of confusing people by us being a week behind the actual league fixtures, i'm just keeping it all uniform so we started in Week 2, and now this is Week 3 etc

It would be pretty bizarre to give draws every week to the people who don't put predictions in,maybe one week because they forgot but anymore they probably should get no points.There will be plenty of draws each week that's why its a punters nightmare.

Meh, see what flushdraw thinks, something for him and mrsfd to discuss over morning tea and crumpet in london.
In effect its no different imo than if he sent in an entry now with 6-6 for every game for all 9/10 weeks and sometimes changed it before 6pm on a Thursday if he remembered, but it stayed at 6-6 otherwise. I don't thinks it's particularly a good strategy anyway, tonight was surely an outlier on the amount of draws and most weeks it would be a big zero (mdoug, check all 12 seasons to see if this is true please.)

Could maybe argue though that if he got given the low score last week that the most he should get this week is the high score which was 14 I think.

Just watching the darts on sky sports now but up early so checking here and then getting to bed. I think it's best to leave fink out of the league. The only person not to pay and hasn't sent in predictions for 3 weeks and no hint he even wants involved after we agreed to give him extra points. That's not what this comp was intended to do. Everyone else is taking part and having the craic. So we're going ahead with just paid players.

Internet is rubbish here and I've a couple of busy days so might have to update when I get home.

FML, you are right AJ. I missed that but it's on the official site too. My head's just coming back to normal after London. 1 mistake each week so far. Just not good enough ;(
