I was just told by Betfair support that I couldn't place a bet with Betfair Sportsbook for trading reasons, and I wouldn't be able to. I've never used Betfair Sportsbook before. Literally never placed a bet with them. They advised me to go to the exchange instead.
Pretty shameful stuff. They just rob the best liquidity from the market makers who are the ones who generate fees for the exchange, and arb their own market makers while giving nothing back. They basically admit that this is what they are doing, otherwise surely they'd be willing to take even one bet?
